Loving the show. Prob the best show the CW has made (a bit better than TVD at its peak).

Got your Deathstroke, got you captain Jack what's not to like. Kind of silly sending out the bodyguard to play pretend. Well the idea wasn't silly its just that he wasn't trained in the bow and arrow. If he was just seen and didn't do anything that would have made more sense.

Nice nod to the comic. When he got his mugshot, his number was 73 1941. Issue # and year of Green Arrow 1st appearance.

They do a great job referencing authors and the characters' history in subtle ways. I am thoroughly enjoying this show - hope it has a good long run.

glad he finally killed someone rich (the arms dealer). Until now it felt like he was waging class warfare on the working class henchmen only.

the actress playing Thea feels like the poor man's Taylor Momsen.

That Deathstroke mask was creepy as hell. I really can't say enough about Stephen Amell either. The guy fully committed to the roll. He's gone above and beyond the physicality of the roll.

I agree with Dex. Stephen Amell just amazes me with this role from the action/physicality standpoint. He must work out like a maniac every day to get ready for an episode shoot.

Anyways, I loved this episode again. The flashbacks were also great. At least we have some more background on Oliver's past on the Island and the mystery Asian/Arrow man.

Arrow continues to be a ruthless vigilante. Loved the last scene when he took out the gun dealer.

Willa Holland played Marissa Cooper's younger sister on The OC.

For the record, she's 21.

So why did he lie on the polygraph about the prison?

Because some part of him wants Laurel to question whether he really is the vigilante or not.

could he not have just forgotten he went in 8th grade or whenever it was? so he was denying the recent trip as Arrow.

The girl said that there was a slight waver in his polygraph during that question, so he was lying.

EDIT: Maybe the girl thought he was lying about the 8th grade trip, but he actually was lying about the arrow trip.

I believe this is correct. He probably forgot about the grade school trip, possibly because he was focused on not getting flagged as having been there recently as Green Arrow.

Are lie detectors so easy to beat that they don't need to explain how he did it, or do you think that will be covered in some upcoming reveal?

It was cool. Wonder when he is going to lose the right eye? I thought in that melee with an arrow from the oriental fellow.

Btw, speaking of "cave man" - anyone recognize the uniform in the picture that the man showed to Arrow? Chinese?

Gotta commend the writing.
The reasoning is not very straightforward, but it is sound.
Also the deal with Arrow framing himself. Very nicely done.

It's relatively easy to beat a polygraph test if you can prepare beforehand. That is why it is discredited as any sort of truth machine.
