For those who don't know who fun. is...

This one's been on the radio for the last little while (Some Nights):

God, I hope this is as acerbic and dry as I want it to be.

I cannot fucking stand fun. but my gf loves them, so that'll be when I leave the room and stand in another room until they're done.

I get it. You're parodying all the people who don't know who the musical guests are.

At least I hope.

You're just going to "stand" in another room? At least fucking vacuum, there's shit to be done!

These skits are dreadful. I'd have taken 90 minutes of Louis CK freestyling over this dreck. fun sounds like a band that would have been huge in the UK in the 80's that absolutely no one remembers today.

Lincoln was great, the hotel check out was good, everything else has been horrible. Fun. has been the worst, how can you be a one hit wonder and not play the song?

Lincoln was the only bright spot of the night.

Just remember, Louis CK wrote and directed one of the greatest films ever made:

I haven't watched a full episode of SNL in ages, but I tuned in for Louis (and fun.). Now I know why I stopped watching. A few funny moments, but overall it was a pretty dire affair. But with it being Daylight Savings Time, I only lost a net of a half hour from my life.

I'd love to know what Louis said that got the audience laughing right before the show came back from commercial and he introduced fun.

As for fun., I like them. Been down with them since their first album.

I'm like you, I don't think I've watched SNL in a decade, but my Louie friends kept insisting I watch. Once the Lincoln sketch ended, I felt confident that was going to be as good as it got. I loved that they kept the guy flipping off the camera in the Lincoln/Louie opening.

The monologue was okay. Him chastising the audience for laughing at an inappropriate line was funnier than the actual material though.

I liked the excessive licking in the last skit.

Re: SNL - 11/03/12 - H: Louis C.K. - MG: fun.

I thought it was an above average episode, mostly because of Louis. I enjoyed Lincoln, the hotel clerk, and "Zog" or whatever that was. A few bad ones, Fox and Friends was pretty lazy.

It's funny that people get so worked up over the musical guest. I almost always skip the performances, even for the artists I like.

Re: SNL - 11/03/12 - H: Louis C.K. - MG: fun.

Fucking abysmal show. C.K. looked uncomfortable, out of his element and his opening stand-up was weak. They need to get rid of Seth Myers, worst Weekend Update anchor since Rocket. Play it completely straight like Kevin Nealon did, Seth. Get rid of that giant stupid fucking grin forever plastered on your face, the jokes aren't that funny.

McKinnon has been the sole bright spot this season.

I actually thought the drunk hookup skit was pretty funny (and wasted in the last call slot) and I liked the Lincoln and hotel clerk bits. Zog was okay. Fox and Friends is just tired at this point, the opening Sandy bit was meh, and Fun. I skipped over.

I did not see the whole episode. I laughed out loud multiple times at the social networking political commentary bit on weekend update. Everything else I saw was pretty weak.

I'll keep beating the drum for a new head writer. The writing has been awful for the last few years now with Seth Myers at the helm.

Terrible episode and I love Louis C.K. I was a bit disappointed that his opening monologue was a direct rip-off of the opening joke he uses for his current US tour.

I had to wonder if the social networking stuff was real. It was almost too stupid not to be.

Tina Fey was hit or miss over the second-half of her years, but since she's left it's just turned into complete fucking dogshit.
