You weren't this way when I was 4 and we rode around listening to your tape deck and laughing.

This show is terrible.

Why do I keep watching?

My thoughts exactly.

Why did they have to get the bomb? Couldn't they have all gone after the brother?

I did like the fact that Texas was it's own "Area" on the map.

Re: Revolution -- "Soul Train" -- 10/15/12

The flashbacks to Neville's past were moderately interesting. at him being a 9 to 5 wimp. And could it not be more obvious they were telegraphing that Nate was Neville's son. It seemed like the camera shots on Nate's face kept saying..."Hint, Hint Hint"

Surprised that Kim Raver ended up being Neville's wife. God, she is so unattractive. Skinny with a long face.

Jeff Fahey didn't really serve any purpose. Seems like he's a 1 and done guest star.

...and why is Danny so important again to the Militia?

I don't think they could have made it more obvious by hanging a sign around him that said Neville's son.

Don't mess with Texas. It was the same way in Jericho.

Re: Revolution -- "Soul Train" -- 10/15/12

Just reading these comments, I'm glad I decided to dump it last night. While I thought the premise was interesting, the show just didn't grab me. But I gave it a shot. An extra hour of reading and/or sleeping on Monday nights is time better spent than watching a show I don't enjoy.

But I'll likely check the buzz later and see if it gets better. Then maybe I'll catch up with the show later on.

Gotta love the tight security around that super important train.

Giancarlo Esposito was the saving grace of this episode. When he threatened the boy, I couldn't help but think of Gus Fring.

They're using him as leverage to get information from his mom.

Re: Revolution -- "Soul Train" -- 10/15/12

I am enjoying the show but one of my main problems is it requires us to get behind the idea of "We must save Danny!" - when he is one of the most useless characters. Let's not forget his stupidity got his dad killed. I find it hard to get on board with the characters who are so dedicated to saving him. They should have invested us more in his character if they were going to make his rescue the whole driving force of the series.

I'd rather see the main characters trying to get the power back.

This show is doing well despite mixed opinions here. Won the timeslot again. Ratings were also up. Got a 3.4 in the demo.

Maybe she'll get better now that she's in serious mode and not whining and pouting mode.

They should have had Neville beat up his boss in the flashback but I guess they don't want to make him a hero.

Why not just decouple the locomotive (with the bomb) from the rest of the train?

I hope now that Monroe knows about the pendants that we find out what happened to that woman and Randall.

I don't love this show, but I'm happy it's doing well. NBC really needs a hit 1 hour drama badly and this seems to be filling that void. If it manages to stay over 3.0 through the end of the season, it's a lock for a 2nd season.

Great, Red Dog. You made your baby brother cry. You know he's a sensitive little boy. *hands DJariya his binky*

Relax - it's a joke. And BTW - my comment had nothing to do with this show per se. Simply that you can find happiness in a TV network having a drama that performs well. That's what's funny.

I'm not crying. It's just getting a little annoying that he's been giving me shit for the past week. What I meant to say was I'm happpy a serialized genre show like this is doing well enough in the ratings that it may lead to more like this getting greenlit in the future.

This was a deathslot for this network and apparently this show has broken the trend.

Okay I won't overreact again. Sorry

On a serious note, consider that NBC had Heroes (that got several seasons - how I have no idea) and The Event - that got a whole season - both shows in the same genre as this. So if those led to future greenlights such as this, it's not necessarily resulting in improved quality.

I think it depends also on the creative team behind it and marketing. This show was heavily promoted from JJ Abrams and Jon Favreau (who is a feature film director and did Iron Man 1 and 2) And that's probably why it's managed to maintain a good audience despite some criticism with it's writing. We all know Abrams resume. The creator of this show also worked on Supernatural and that show still has a big following. This show doesn't have a well known A-list cast. Esposito and maybe Billy Burke are probably the best known actors on this show.

Plus it helps that this show has The Voice as a lead-in and that gets over 11M viewers a week and over 4.0 in the demos. They did a wise thing pairing the 2 together since The Voice attracts a younger audience and that's what this show needs to please the advertisers.

Don't get me started on JJ Abrams after the last several seasons of Purgatory and what he did to Star Trek.

He's essentially just an "In name only" producer. His creative input is probably minimal. Eric Kripke is the creator and showrunner.

Abrams name, Bad Robot production company bought the show and helped get it made.
