Dane Cook show canceled before it even airs

The first cancellation of the new TV season is unexpected - mainly because it's for a show that hasn't even aired yet. Deadline reports that NBC has scrapped its midseason comedy series "Next Caller".
Dane Cook starred as a foul-mouthed satellite radio DJ forced to share the microphone with a chipper NPR feminist (Collette Wolfe).
Four of six commissioned episodes were shot before the network pulled the plug because "creatively the series was not going in the direction they had hoped for". The already produced episodes will NOT go to air.

That's happened before. I remember seeing a DVD at Target specifically of failed Dane Cook pilots. Here it is:

Here are plot summaries of the episodes filmed:
1. In the first segment, Dane volunteers to chaperone his daughter's field trip along with her teacher, which a surly bus driver helps turn into a disaster. In the second segment, Dane goes on an awkward and unsuccessful first date.
2. In the first segment, the conversation during a poker game becomes an intense exploration of gay culture. In the second segment, after Dane's brother depresses him about the finality of his divorce, Dane reminisces about a high school crush, subsequently looking her up on Facebook.
3. In the first segment, Dane goes to a doctor who's an old high school friend with an odd and disturbing sense of humor. In the second segment, after performing at the Comedy Cellar, he dines with a fellow comedian who harbors passionate political views.
4. In the first segment, Dane hooks up with a young woman at the Comedy Cellar who's attracted to older guys. In the second segment, he bonds with a woman he meets at a PTA meeting while their kids are on a play date. Throughout the episode, Dane has odd interactions with his therapist.

I don't really think any of his jokes are funny. 
He rarely makes me laugh; it's his clips that do all the leg work. His skits between clips are usually terrible, both in execution and concept. The only saving grace that's his own is the Web Redemption and, again, the star of those bits is almost always either the person being redeemed, or some celeb talent that pops up. And ALL of his film-related jokes are totally inaccurate in every way and so misinformed I wonder if he even knows what he's talking about.
And have you tried watching Brickleberry? Holy shit, I can't believe someone gave him money to do that. It tries so hard to be offensive/edgy/controversial. Instead, it's just stupid.

^Daniel Tosh is much funnier when he's doing stand up than he is on Tosh.0 in my opinion. Tosh.0 has it's moments but overall I don't love it either. The whole concept of the show just sort of bores me and the best parts are when he does a bit instead of just making fun of dumb videos.
As far as Dane Cook goes his act got old to me a long time ago so no loss that his show won't air.

Joel McHale > Daniel Tosh. Tosh comes off as an asshole and seems to be shitting on everyone, McHale is way more likeable even when he's making fun of someone.

Tosh is pretty funny, his stuff is not mainstream enough for network television. Dane Cook is an utter hack and his career is a testament to all that is wrong in Hollywood.

Good. I think Dane Cook is a no talent hack. Not funny at all.
He sucked playing Danno's brother on Hawaii Five-O and he was awful in all the movies I've seen with him in.
