2012 Holiday TV Schedule
Well, it's a tradition now on the DVD Talk Forums, here is the 2012 Holiday TV Schedule. I got a URL for it this year: http://christmastvschedule.com. It's mainly Halloween shows so far.
As usual, all times are Eastern, so check your local listings for your exact air times. If you hear of any Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas programs not on this list, post them to this thread and I'll add them. Enjoy, Rob

There have been some major updates to the list, including ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas, and the Countdown to the 25 Days of Christmas, as well as airings of Rudolph, Frosty, and the Grinch.

Thanks for the list again!!!!!
My pet peeve on ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas: they kill of nights with Pixar and Harry Potter movies. I hope they don't do that again this year.

This is a wonderful service to keep people informed of all the Christmas specials, which seemingly proliferate more than ever with each passing year.

Holiday TV Schedule at my place- whatever and whenever the hell I feel like! I usually watch some Christmas specials or movies on the 4th of July, just because I can. Close to actual Christmas I watch "Silent Night, Deadly Night" to counter all the consumerism and fake sentimentality.

Re: 2012 Holiday TV Schedule
There are a few Thanksgiving themed shows tonight on broadcast TV not listed on that schedule. Wednesday night (11/21/12) ABC has A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, followed by a Mayflower themed episode of This is America, Charlie Brown. Antenna TV has a whole heap of Thanksgiving sitcoms: Hazel, Father Knows Best, Good Times, All in the Family, followed by four presentations of the "Turkeys Away" episode of WKRP in Cincinnati.

Tonight (Sunday) on TCM, 8 eastern, 5 pacific --
"Carol for Another Christmas" -- a Rod Serling TV-movie rarity never shown since it's one-time broadcast in the 60s. In fact I'd never even heard of it before googling it just now...
Might be awful or wonderful, but certainly interesting. Directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, starring Sterling Hayden, Peter Sellers, Pat Hingle, Steve Lawrence.
Basically it's Dickens Carol reworked into a 60's anti-war film advert for the UN.
Originally shown on ABC just the once in '64.
Here's a NYT article about the movie from a few years back:
Marley Is Dead, Killed in a Nuclear War
