Most addictive TV shows.
What are your most addictive TV shows? Show's that you watch but can't stop once you've watched a few eps.
Mine are: Dexter Breaking Bad Homeland Lost Californication Peep Show |
Re: Most addictive TV shows.
24 is the easiest answer for me.

Lost, 24 S1, Breaking Bad, Homeland, and Terriers were all crack for me.

Re: Most addictive TV shows.
There are shows I like, but then there are those shows that I NEED to see what happens next. That doesn't mean these are my favorite shows, but they're designed to leave you on cliffhangers and such.
Breaking Bad and the first seasons of Heroes and 24 (the first season) are the best examples of this I can think of. Babylon 5 at points was this way as well. |
Re: Most addictive TV shows.
Not exactly what you're asking but Lost Girl. I save the show and then never really have a desire to watch them. Then I watch one and I end up watching them all in a row.

Re: Most addictive TV shows.
Gotta agree with everybody about 24. My list also includes Person of Interest, Prison Break, Dexter and Game of Thrones.

Re: Most addictive TV shows.
If the desire to watch them over and over again decades after they aired.
Miami Vice and the Twilight Zone |
Re: Most addictive TV shows.
MST3K
Batman The Animated Series Power Rangers Murder She Wrote (for me, anyways) Mythbusters |
Re: Most addictive TV shows.
Walking Dead. It's one of those shows where big stuff rarely happens. I enjoy it a lot. But I'm never satisfied when the episode is over.
The opposite would be American Horror Story. Stuff moves along and rarely lingers. They rush the story along and give us plenty of details. |

Red Dwarf (seasons 1 through 5)--It was *my* Harry Potter during my adolescence in the early 90s. It was hilarious escapist fare with its fun, fun, fun in the sun, sun, sun. Those PBS marathons were some of the most fun in my life.

Episodes is really good too and quite addictive there's a lot going on in it. How To Make It In America is a good show it only lasted two seasons but the eps were worth binge watching.

I could understand that if you were talking about the original series from 60s to the 80s. And maybe the ninth and tenth doctors. But this last half season with the 11th Doctor just hasn't been any good. The one with the invading cubes was good, but that's it.

In its prime, 24 was the most addictive TV show I have ever watched. It's the show I've watched the most of in one day. I went through 4 discs on a Saturday back in high school.

Heroes-1st season Had the first season of 24 for a couple of years before I watched it all in one weekend. Had to order the next season & did the same. Ordered the next couple of seasons & spent weekends watching the whole season. So much fun to watch it all at once with no commercials or waiting for the next weeks episodes. Forced myself not to watch current episodes but wait until they came out on dvd to watch the entire season. Was obsessed with the first season of Heroes. Constantly checking out this forum & others to keep up with everyone's thoughts & ideas. Season two quickly cured me of this obsession. |
