Episodes is really good too and quite addictive there's a lot going on in it. How To Make It In America is a good show it only lasted two seasons but the eps were worth binge watching.

Re: Most addictive TV shows.
In its prime, 24 was the most addictive TV show I have ever watched. It's the show I've watched the most of in one day. I went through 4 discs on a Saturday back in high school.

24
Heroes-1st season
Had the first season of 24 for a couple of years before I watched it all in one weekend. Had to order the next season & did the same. Ordered the next couple of seasons & spent weekends watching the whole season. So much fun to watch it all at once with no commercials or waiting for the next weeks episodes. Forced myself not to watch current episodes but wait until they came out on dvd to watch the entire season.
Was obsessed with the first season of Heroes. Constantly checking out this forum & others to keep up with everyone's thoughts & ideas. Season two quickly cured me of this obsession.

I'm going to take the question "most addictive" like you, as shows that have you watching marathons and have you pressing that play button "just one more!" well into the night.
The ultimate answer is 24. They knew how to close every episode on a cliffhanger. To me it really is unrivaled, no other show has come close.
However there are some solid answers already posted like Breaking Bad & Lost.
I'll add one comedy, Entourage. That show is up there with 24. So easy to burn through a half a season in a single night.

Cool topic.
Castle, Scrubs and Last Man Standing for me, both because they are so damn funny and entertaining. Knowing more laughs and fun are around the corner, I always end up watching more than I meant to.

24 (I reckon I'm due for a rewatch starting all over again)
Scrubs (just loved rewatching this last year on Netflix)
The X Files (currently halfway thru Season 5)
Californication (to me, one of the best written shows)
Friends (when channel surfing and this is on, I always get sucked in)

My buddy just started watching Lost a couple weeks ago and is now up to Season 4 Episode 10.
I pop over and wind up watching 6 episodes despite knowing exactly where it's going.
They need to find a way to bottle whatever was special about that show and resell it. And fwiw, having only watched it when it aired, the show really does play much better marathon style. 6 years of television in a few weeks and it plays like one really, ridiculously long movie. And considering the Pilot is 8 years old at this point, the show has aged really well.

Smallville (watched almost every show live) - Just loved the show. I know it had it many issues, but they just kept stringing me along until the very end. Loved the last 2 weeks of the show.
24 (Did not watch the 1st year, but the 2nd was so bold I was hooked)
Lost (1st year was awesome, then it just to long and weird)

Shows I've seen
24
Lost
Freaks and Geeks
Sports Night
The Walking Dead (currently watching)
Harper's Island
Haven't watched yet but plan to marathon:
Game of Thrones
Breaking Bad
Nikita
Jericho
Life
Luther
Party Down
The League
The Office UK
But honestly, 24 and Lost are the 2 best answers to this question.
