Haven -- Season Premiere -- "301" -- 9/21/12
Synopsis:
Spoiler:
13 episode 3rd season. This normally premieres in the summer, but for some reason SyFy is launching it in the Fall. Anyways, I think this is a really underrated show. I know it gets moderate interest/commentary here.

Anyone watch the premiere of Haven yet?
Interesting and entertaining episode. Didn't really alot of questions about Audrey's abduction from last season, but it does set up an interesting arc for season 3.
Looks like "WWE Superstar The Edge" will be a significant part of this season as well.

I did enjoy the whole Close Encounters of the Third Kind vibe later in the episode.
It's amazing how this show has changed dramatically from a freak of the week procedural, which I recall some of you weren't caring much about, so a more mythology-driven show.

I think it's still largely a problem of the week type show, but the series has gotten much better about weaving in the running plotlines (the burgeoning romance, Duke's history, etc.) into each case of the week.
The first episode was a lot of fun, though the solution to last season's cliffhanger was very predictable. Haven is now the most consistent show remaining on Syfy.

I didn't really care for the CE of the 3rd Kind. It didn't follow the pattern of other troubles and just seemed to far out there for my tastes.
As to Edge, I never cared for him as a wrestler but he's pretty good in this role.

Glad to have the show back, but I thought this was kind of a weak episode. Nathan was overly suspicious of/fighting with Duke when he should have been more worried about getting to Audrey. And when he finds out where Audrey is, he infiltrates the place with Duke and alien boy but no fellow cops? Ugh.

I'm starting to think that the guy that plays Nathan could make a decent Roland if The Dark Tower ever happens.
As for the episode, I hope the alien angle really was that guy's "trouble" and not a future element to the show's mythology.

Some good news. Ratings were actually good. Got 2M viewers. No SyFy show this year has gotten even close to 2M.

Though I didn't realize how bad SyFy's been doing this year.
