Precisely. Someone mentioned above the list of people that could finger Heisenberg and had Skylark listed. I don't even think she's aware of his pseudonym.Originally Posted by Jimmy James

Exactly. She could finger him for cooking up some meth and giving her money, but as we know she has reason to be biased against Walt (affair) and has been behaving oddly. Walt could possibly if confronted with allegations by her suggest the money is from some scheme with Ted and she made this up out of whole cloth with help from Hank. She's not great.
Probably the most valuable thing she knows is Jesse.

The sheer amount of money that is the pile of cash trumps anything other than a drug/gun/illegal operation.
And yes, she would turn over all her assets, her cash + laundered savings to the authorities.

Why do people keep assuming that the baby will get to the ricin?
How many babies will crawl around, move a nightstand, unscrew the cover of an electrical outlet and ingest a vial? Breaking Bad has many times stretched belief, but the baby getting to the ricin would be less believable if Flynn lost his cerebral palsy and morphed into a black woman.

I gotta think that Hank's boss(es) changed their tune once the lawyer was caught and flipped. They also just saw 10 inmates (counting the lawyer) get killed in the same 2 minute span.Originally Posted by Jimmy James
I'm not sure Hank knowing is going to be Walt's downfall. Hank's boss won't tolerate him wasting resources, Hank has to be smart enough to know the discovery of Walt will take him down, too. I tend to agree that the cancer may claim Walt in the end. If it doesn't, I am now guessing his criminal enterprise will suck him back in next season.

I don't think anyone thinks the baby will do all that. It's more along the lines of the outlet cover getting knocked around from a bump to the nightstand and the vile falling on the floor... that sorta thing. The odds are low, but they keep showing where Walt hides the ricin for some reason - where they really don't need to... especially more than once.Originally Posted by RoyalTea

Six weeks ago I predicted how the eight episode would end. So now I get to say:

Congrats, you predicted something that was highly likely based on the split season schedule.

No one else noticed the big timeline f-up? The guy planning the hits said something about how it would be harder to do these hits than it was when they took out Bin Laden. At least, I'm pretty sure that was in the past tense. Assuming that the series took place in 2008 when the series actually started airing, then it is only 2009 on the show. Long before Bin Laden was killed.
Walt and Skybar really need to buy one of those toddler walls that go around in ground pools so that little Holly doesn't fall in. I know they've got the money. That was my biggest concern in the last scene.
If only Walt had some better magazines in the bathroom. Then Hank wouldn't have had to keep digging to the bottom of the pile.
Why did Walt suddenly decide to quit the business? That doesn't really jive with last episode where he wouldn't be satisfied with a good amount of money but wanted to build an empire. And what happened to cooking for Declan? He seemed to be cooking for Lydia now and shipping everything to Europe.
Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with this "season." It sorta feels like Lost season 6 to me. There was a big hole without Mike this episode and that hole will still be there for the remaining episodes. They really seemed to cut down Jesse's part so far this season. I don't expect Aaron Paul to be nominated for an Emmy for these episodes. Probably Cranston will be nominated but I'm not sure about the show itself. Really, Johnathan Banks deserves a nomination if anything. Hopefully, they will give more time to Aaron Paul in the rest of the episodes.
I guess that Todd was just as good of a cook as Jesse eventually? At least they didn't show him and Walt having any problems cooking. Seems Walt can teach anyone to cook after all.

So how much do you guys think Walt paid the guys to pull off this giant hit? I'm guessing $1 million. 100 k per body sounds reasonable.

Looking too much into the Bin Laden thing

What do you spray on a huge pallet of cash to keep away the silverfish? Regular bug spray?
And the guy that was trying to make a deal with the feds, which one was he in the murder montage?

Loved the ending and the half season. Personally I would vote for them to not extend the final half season. Eight episodes is plenty to wrap this up. Couple twists, some resolution, and the show can take it's well-deserved place among tv royalty.

Any monkey can learn a repetitive task. Nevertheless, they did show Todd fucking up plenty of times during the montage. He got better towards the end, 3 months later.Originally Posted by windom

I deleted the episode already. I did find the quote online though: http://www.eonline.com/news/342796/b...rss_topstoriesOriginally Posted by Dragon Tattoo

"Even whacking Bin Laden wasn't this complicated."—Todd's murderous uncle
So if that quote is correct, the "wasn't" means Bin Laden has already been killed, which shouldn't be the case in the show's timeline. Anyone wanna go back and confirm the exact quote? Maybe from the CC even?

On another note, here's hoping for more of Badger and Skinny Pete next season. Though I wonder if we'll even have time for them with all that's going on.

Great mid-season finale. Fuck AMC for making us wait another year, though.
A couple thoughts:
- Hank getting the one clue he needed to piece everything together while on the toilet was hilarious and awesome.
- I think Hank WILL try to turn Walt in. He already mentioned to Walt how he was thinking a lot about his old job, not working for the DEA. So with that information, we can either expect him to keep his mouth shut and demand cash (which is NOT like his character), or he'll refuse to take a bribe, spill everything he knows or thinks he knows to the DEA, and take an early retirement to avoid the shame of having Walt under his nose for so long. Will Walt kill Hank? It's hard to say... but I think that's going to be the big conflict in the final leg of episodes.
- Sk;lr was fine in this episode... but I don't hate her like everyone else does.
- The prison killings were pretty great, although some of the quick stabbings looked really fake. There was blood on some shirts, but no holes.
- Loved the Fly reference right at the beginning. When Todd asked if they should take care of their situation (disposing of Mike), and Walt paused as we heard the fly buzz again, I was hoping he'd say, "Wellllll... yeah, I guess." like he was seriously contemplating putting that aside to kill the fly.
- I, too, would also love to see more Badger and Skinny Pete. Those guys are under-used.

Why? Jesse is out and Walt never wanted anything to do with them. They served their purpose and have moved on. There's no reason for them to return.Originally Posted by bluetoast

Did you predict it on Dvdtalk? Because I was curious and just did a quick scan through your past Breaking Bad posts and didn't see anything looking like a prediction for the end of the season.Originally Posted by Astrofan
