I have been on a teen drama kick, more like obsession, lately. I don't know why. Gives me something to do and I guess they have characters that I can relate to more. Even though I'm almost 30.

I just finished Dawson's Creek in about a week and a half. Still so depressed after that finale. I quickly started One Tree Hill and am in the middle of the first season. I was curious what some of your favorite teen dramas are. Unless I'm the only one who watches them?

These are my favorites. Some I've seen lately, some are currently airing and some I haven't seen in years.

Does Gilmore Girls count?

I'd say that, The OC, and Undressed.

Dawson's Creek (watched it live through the fourth season and gave up on it) - picked back up while in college with the latter seasons through TBS and believe that I appreciated those later seasons more because I was around the same age as the characters at the time than I would have had I kept watching while still in high school.


Beverly Hills, 90210 is another good choice.

We will probably never see another teen drama like DC or 90210 (original) ever again. We now have 40 minute modeling ads on display each week.

I can't think of any teen drama that I ever liked. Does Good Morning, Miss Bliss/Saved By The Bell count?

I certainly wouldn't call FNL a teen drama. Coach and Tammi were the center of the show. Much more of a family drama ... ala Parenthood or Everwood.

One Tree Hill was great the first couple seasons .... then it went downhill very quickly. Lost it's edge. What started out as a story about two competing brothers, turned into a fashion show and finally a parody of a teen soap.

Roswell similarly started out great and the last season plummeted to it's death.

Veronica Mars was clever, hip and funny with great characters, but lacked compelling storylines.

Out of all, I would say Dawson's Creek. It basically defined the teen anxt genre. Turning kids into adults and adults into kids.

Seems like these shows can handle 3 or 4 years before the well runs dry.

Dawson's Creek. The last few years were not good but the finale made up for it.

Most of the ones in the OP are still on my to-watch list, especially Freaks and Geeks and Veronica Mars. I only watched the last season of Roswell.

I would count Gilmore Girls. Heck, I'd count Buffy too.

I don't really consider Friday Night Lights a 'teen drama,' but it was obviously very good. If you're going to include something like that, then I would include American Dreams.

Tribes - This show ran for only a few months in 1990. It aired in the afternoon, and was filmed like a soap opera. It was a big ratings success, but cost way too much so it got axed. In just those few months it was on it covered, stealing a friend's girl, teenage boy banging someone's mom, chick lying about her relationship with a teacher, date rape, and was getting into teenage runaways on the streets of Los Angeles when it was cancelled. None of the actors went on to greater fame, although Scott Garrison, one of the main guys and a Johnny Depp lookalike, did star on the Swamp Thing TV series.

You know I didn't think of that one. The Wonder Years should count just as any show that includes a teenager with any kind of 'drama' in their life. Which means I think Friday Night Lights, Gilmore Girls, Everwood or even Buffy should count.

The Wonder Years is not only one of my favorite teen drama's but one of my favorite SHOWS of all time.

I think The Wonder Years is more comedic with dramatic elements. I wouldn't call it a teen drama, to be honest. Nor would I call Saved By the Bell a teen drama either. C'mon, Saved by the Bell?

If anything I think The Wonder Years transcends the word 'teen' anyway.
