Bachelor Pad 3 Season Thread

Re: Bachelor Pad 3 Season Thread
"Bachelor Pad" has been a guilty pleasure of mine for the last three summers. Still, I went into this season with a bit of skepticism, -could they top last year's "Jake Pavelka vs His Cross-Eyed Ex-Fiancee'" drama?
This year turned out to be terrific, delivering to of the best bits of aggressive game-play this summer (second and third only to Dan Gheesling's "Return From The Dead" on "Big Brother"): Chris turning the tables on Stagliano and getting Erica to send him home, and Nick's taking the big prize at the Finale (made even sweeter when the producers ran the footage of everyone dismissing him early in the game).
Unfortunately, the ratings weren't very good this time, and I hope they don't drop the show.

That would be a shame if they didn't bring this back. Hopefully somebody actually choosing to keep the money for themselves will change the way future participants play instead of it being assumed that they will share the money.

I think the olympics hurt the ratings, but I cant imagine Bachelor Pad getting canceled. Both bachelor and bachelorette are still very popular, and all the shows are intertwined together.

Rumor is they weren't dating regardless of Erica's revelation. On friendly terms would be a better description.
Another thing I didn't realize is the final 2 from last season shared the money amongst the final 4. That's one way. If you make an agreement with another couple and bring them into the final 4 with you, it doesn't matter who wins. $62.5k is still a nice chunk of change.

Where are you getting that they could split the money 4 ways? The money gets split among all of the losers, not just the other two that were in the final four. Please correct me if I am wrong someone.

OK, I understand now. You're saying the final four agree to split the money four ways. As long as the final two both do share, this works.

One of the reasons they went for the fans and Ryan was that there was very little interest among the former contestants to do the show. Between the ratings and lack of cast, there is a good chance this wont' come back.

I'm not going to ask for a cite, but that's really hard to believe. Certainly certain popular former contestants may have been reluctant, but if you've seen the "Bachelor" fraternity (and sorority), it's full of young people who are still looking for hookups, love to be on TV, and absolutely want a chance to win money while doing it. The "Bachelor" reunion parties have pretty big turnouts.
