Re: Eureka -- Series Finale -- "Just Another Day" -- 7/16/12

This was such a fun show. Sure there were some episodes that didn't work, but overall, it was an easy show to get into and enjoy.

I'm starting to think that with the town being shut down, everyone's minds get wiped of their entire time in Eureka and they get wormholed back to just before they arrived in town.

Of course, that's just me hoping that they wrap up Jack's arrival as I've said in other threads.

I am really gonna miss this show. At least it got several seasons unlike The Dresden Files.

The only thing I didn't like was when Stark left.

But the series was almost perfect.

Waiting for 9 PM here in the West Coast to watch it with all the family.

Ok, now the one thing I'm not going to miss is not paying attention for a minute and missing what the hell is going on.

I really enjoyed this episode. Although it ended on a pitch perfect note (which left me with a big silly grin), I was still sad afterward. I know it's unlikely but I kinda hope they'll do a TV movie or another special.

Re: Eureka -- Series Finale -- "Just Another Day" -- 7/16/12

This really was such a good show. I think the humor and the acting was excellent. Over the course of the run, I really thought the effects were very well done (for what I am assuming was a fairly low budget). Sometimes the stories were far-fetched, but that never detracted from my enjoyment at all...they always seemed to be able to make it seem possible and even normal. Colin Ferguson was great for the part with his mix of being dumb, smart, surprised, amused, exasperated......all in the same episode, and his physical comedy was great.

I will miss the show very much.

"Fargo....hurry....we have to.....put your....thing....in the hole......quick....."
Fargo slowly looks down at his crotch and Jack taps his wrist to show he was referencing the watch device. They often had double entendres like this....fairly subtle usually, but funny.

Nice ending. Will very much miss the Eureka family. I wonder if any of the characters will appear on Warehouse 13 again?

That's how you end a show - the episode was pitch perfect. I hope they release a complete series set. Eureka was a fun show and I'm gonna miss it.

I really hope they release a nice Blu-ray full series collection. That would be an easy impulse buy for me.

A good finale. And loved the loop back to the pilot when we saw Jack and Zoe entering Eureka for the first time.

My daughters started watching Season 1 today. After watching the series finale last night, LOL!

And yeah, we loved the finale too.

Really great finale. Pretty bummed that its over now. For sure one of my favorite shows of all time, eveything about it made me feel good. Was kinda hoping that Nathan Stark would come back somehow, but minus that, thought the finale was perfect.

Does anyone know what any of the main actors are doing next?

That Warehouse 13 starts next week in the same timeslot makes the finale even more bittersweet. I too would not mind having some of the characters crossing over again.

What's wrong with nice? I like dark shows like Breaking Bad and The Wire, but sometimes it's just a pleasure to see something nice. A wonderful cast who went through many fun adventures. And it even pulled off that amazing time line switch. Wish the best for the entire cast and hope to see them again.

You can now buy the complete series (DVD) for $99 Canadian from Amazon's Canadian site.

For the record, even though the show is shot in Hi-Def, no BD plans are in the immediate future.

Also available in the US. I'll pass. I'd rather have this show on BD.

Re: Eureka -- Series Finale -- "Just Another Day" -- 7/16/12

I just finished the last 3 episodes, including the finale over the last 2 days. Since the DVD was coming out last Tuesday and I was planning to buy it anyways, I deleted my DVR recordings to save some space and watched them on the DVD instead. Great ending to the series.

Considering the Producers were trying to get a 6-8 episode 6th season greenlit, I am surprised how well they managed to wrap everything up and give closure to the show in the 1 extra episode that was produced.

In case you didn't know, season 5 was originally 12 episodes (13 if you count last December's Christmas episode which was part of the same production order) The series finale was the extra episode greenlit to give the show closure.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the cameo from James Callis. His American accent this time around was awful though.

to Erica Cerra going out with her hair down. Nice callback to the start of season 4 with Jo wearing the white wife beater at the end and then doing the reverse and proposing to Zane.

The ending was hilarious with Carter and Zoe seeing themselves from the 1st season driving into town. Typical Eureka fashion.

Maybe Fargo since he appeared in the Warehouse 13 crossovers before. However, they sort of teased a little romantic thing between him and Claudia in those episodes. Now that he's with Holly, that would be a little awkward.
