Starz developing "Incursion" new Sci-Fi action thriller from creator of Spartacus
As part of STARZ overall deal with “Spartacus” creator Steven S. DeKnight, STARZ is developing “Incursion,” an epic science fiction action-thriller that follows a squad of soldiers caught in a war against a hostile alien race. Each season the battle will be fought on a new, exotic planet as humanity punches deeper into enemy territory. Grittily realistic combat, darkly complex characters and intrigue on a cosmic scale will permeate the tale of fighting men and women facing the pressures of war and an enemy unlike any ever seen. In addition to his international acclaim on “Spartacus,” Steven has worked on such well-regarded series as “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”, “Angel”, “Smallville,” and “Dollhouse.
Sounds cool. Being that it will be on Starz, you know it will be R-rated material.

Sounds lowest-common denominator, which seems to be what Starz goes for (with the sole exception of Boss).
Pass. Though I'm sure it will be successful, just like that other sci-fi joke, "Falling Skies".

I really liked Space Above and Beyond, so I'm in. I'm skeptical about how far a tv budget can go when it comes to new, exotic alien worlds.

DeKnight posted on Twitter that they haven't decided yet where they will film. He did say it won't be in New Zealand where Spartacus is shot.

I think his point is that you come across like a know-it-all pompous dick. You rail on people who praise or discourage things that you like or dislike but rarely speak to the actual content of the subject matter.

I think Magic City is pretty good. 
And let's not overstate how good BSG was. It was great for the first few seasons but went significantly downhill after that.
