Synopsis:



12 episode 5th season

Chris Meloni, formerly of Law and Order SVU, is joining the cast this season as a regular.

Peter Mensah, formerly of Spartacus, is joining the cast as a new recurring character.

This was Alan Ball's last season as head writer and showrunner. He's moved on to a new series he created for Cinemax called Banshee. They already hired a new showrunner should the show get a 6th season.

I'm going to tune in but I'm not expecting anything great here. If its as good as last season I'll be content but I can see myself completely dropping this show too this season.

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait. Still loving the show as much as ever.

The only way I would consider giving up this show is if they staked Eric and had Rutina Wesley playing every single female character in the town.

also, is scott foley in this? i remember them bringing his character in at the end of last season, thinking it might be for something this season, but IMDB doesn't have him listed.

Let's hope we can get back to season 3 quality and tone down the stupid witch and fairy crap.

Game of Thrones season ends on one Sunday, and then the True Blood season starts on the following Sunday.

Yes, that is what I meant. That really, really sucks.

I would have preferred more Game of Thrones. I'll watch True Blood but its quality has really diminished over the years.

Actually, it seems to be a bit like opposite of the Star Trek movies, with the odd-numbered seasons being good and the even-numbered ones being bad. Hope that bodes well for Season 5.

I have a feeling this show might be nearing its end in terms of quality and once Alan Ball leaves, that might be it. I'll give this season a try but if it gets stupid, like it did at times last year, I might just have to get rid of HBO until GoT comes back.

I still like True Blood but it was a bit of a let down last season. I cancelled HBO after Eastbound & Down was over. I'm thinking I'll re-up when Boardwalk Empire comes back and I'll catch this True Blood season on HBO GO then.

I read the latest EW, on what's the plan for the season. I'm excited. This is going to be a great season.

I think they'll keep the "tradition" of having great even seasons (1, 3, and now 5). And yeah, Season 2 and 4 really sucked. Pun intended.

Me too, but I'm glad that HBO at least shifted from one series to the other series without a break in-between.

Decent beginning, but looks like way too much is going on to make a cohesive story. I can already tell what's going to interest me and what's not, and I have a pretty good idea where some things are heading.

Pam always seems to get the best lines.

Ike Appelbaum

Great premiere and glad they tied up some loose ends (ex. Pam's rotting spell broken when Marnie died), except I didn't care for Terry and his war vet pal Scott Foley.

Jessica - supervixen and now Queen of Louisiana

I thought she and her Walmart sweatsuit were the MVPs of this ep.

Glad to have Sookie's Super Snatch and the rest of the Bon Temps gang back for th summer!

Pretty good episode but the werewolf stuff kills me. Such a huge waste of time.

OK, its bugging me. Where else was that brunette chick from that was at Jessica's party?

Im watching this. And I'm astonished that it is the #1 drama n HBO.
Get rid of Bill. Sookie. Sam. Tara. And the show would be much improved.

Also Alcide is the best character since Godric.
