Free HBO & Cinemax weekend (6/8-6/11) for DirecTV customers
get your DVRs ready, might be the same for other cable/satellite carriers, but not sure. For DirecTV it's channels 501-511, and then 515-523.

Good - I can catch most of, if not all of, the eps of Veep that aired since I canceled HBO last month. The last 3 eps air Friday night.

Some time back we dropped Cinemax and this free weekend reminded my why. The only show we watched was Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Now when Strike Back come on I may miss it but is it worth the price for 1 show?

I watch Femme Fatales, a few movies here and there and of course Strike Back. It helps that Directv carries 8 Cinemax channels now as opposed to 2 or 3 before. It makes it a little more worth it. Plus, there is Maxgo.com

Ditto. I saved $significant/month when I dropped everything but HBO as far as movie channels go a while back, and (not counting Dexter coming up this fall) I can't say I've missed out on anything save for Rise of the Planet of the Apes which conveniently I watched this weekend. And the free previews come around often enough I might just wait for another one to on-Demand Dexter after the season airs. There's plenty to watch during the fall already.
