I predict the wildfire burn down stannis' ships and kings landing. Maybe burn Joffrey too like Theon did to those kids.

Ser Barristan Selmy is ABSOLUTLY one of the three. It was established last episode that Jamie worshiped the man.

For those who don't remember, Selmy was the captain of the Kingsguard that Cerci fired after Robert's death

I thought about him but I see him in the same light as another swordsman that Selmy was discussing with Ned Stark. Can't remember the name but Selmy said some thing like "He was good but he lacked stamina."

I can see Jaime tiring out Selmy. He worship the guy but I think he's a little sentimental torwards Selmy and still sees Jim through a young boys eyes.

Selmy obviously can still carve up most other swordsman with ease.

I just want to say that the whole Bran/Rickon thing was incredibly well done in the book, I spent about 2 days ripshit they "killed" them both off. It wasn't as telegraphed as in the show, and the reveal was surprising and major.

It bothered me enough that I
Spoiler:
skipped ahead in the book to see if there were any more Bran chapters. I think I would have been less inclined to continue reading if they had been truly killed in such a manner.

I didn't do that, but agreed. It was handled with way more suspense in the book. Maybe "certainty" is the proper word. I believed they were dead until that "hey-I'm-really-not-dead-Bran-POV" chapter showed up.

For some reason I just didn't buy that it was Bran and Rickon hanging at Winterfell. Maybe it's because Theon is a giant pussy. Hope to see him die a fiery death.

...and no I haven't read the books or looked into it whatsoever.

I predict that Stannis will take over King's Landing with the aid of an army of vagina shadow monsters.

(It worked in Lord of the Rings when Aragorn showed up at Minas Tirith aboard a ship.)

I have no idea why they made the change, other than perhaps to make her more interesting on tv for later events. There wasn't much background in the book on her, it was just robb wanted the alliance (at the expense of another), and he really enjoyed screwing her on a very regular basis.
Spoiler:
same first name as Jeyne Poole who is best friends with Sansa. They had to change the name and perhaps the backstory

That's a completely visual thing though too, which is the problem. In the book they can describe the boys and you imagine the intended targets. Having to actually put something up on the screen everybody can see and say "that's totally not them." I don't really think there was a way to "fool" anyone using a visual medium unfortunately. I only wish they would've dragged it out to maybe the beginning of the next episode so we at least went a whole week with no mention so then at least some folks would start to consider some doubts about their safety.

Similar item with regard to the reveal of Cercei's captive whore -- not Shae -- and Tyrion allowing his sister to believe that she had the upper hand in the matter. There's only so much the show can convey in a short amount of time.

Which is what made the scene of Tyrion trying to out the rat all the more amazing in film form. I had no idea how they were going to convey that whole thing, and they blew me away with how they filmed his 3 separate conversations.

Cat knew that Jamie would never last the night as a prisoner with Robb away and the Karstarks howling for revenge and getting drunk.

He was her only chance to have Sansa and Arya released, so she gave him to Brianne of Tarth to try to figure out a way to get him to Kings Landing and trade for the girls.

Its a longshot but it was better than him being beheaded and revenge taken upon her girls

She wanted to exchange his life for Sansa and Arya's. She is not aware that Arya is no longer being held at King's Landing. I'm pretty sure she told Brienne to get him back to King's Landing to make the exchange.
