Hard for me to judge last night, as most of the song choices did nothing for me. I think it's going to be an all male finale, but it's not a strong feeling.

That was the second best goodbye performance I've seen (best was Casey Abrams last year).

And I honestly believe that Joshua Ledet will be the most successful out of all of the contestants this year - with the possible exception of Skylar Laine who should be successful in the country music world.

And yes, it will be WGWG5.

I agree that Skylar might be the biggest money maker. She had 'it'.

Joshua really grew on me this season, I liked him entering Hollywood week, but then thought he fell into the typical trap of over the top boring garbage. In the last few weeks he has demonstrated the right sort of mean streak and personality that makes me think he's really close to being a huge star.

It wouldn't surprise me, especially with Britney Spears getting $15M to be a judge on X-Factor.

But then again, working on Idol from approx August to the following May is a grueling schedule and would be very prohibitive for an active recording artist to tour and promote their album.

Being on the show has more than promoted her new records. I don't know if I'd consider being a judge on Idol grueling, more like cushy in my book. The worst part would be the earlier sessions listening to the all the hopefuls..

Even that part should be pretty cushy. They spend up to 2 days in each city and probably listen to 100 or so peeps. A good number of those are the oddball ones that break up the monotony.

As TomOpus pointed out, the judges don't see anywhere near the number of people included in the cattle call. The first step is actually the production staff and they determine who gets through to see the judges. That includes the horrible singers (they send them through for entertainment purposes knowing they can't sing).

Damn, that sucks for Joshua. He would have made a much stronger opponent to Phillip in the finale.

His goodbye performance was fricking amazing. If Jimmy is smart and I know he is, he will sign him up to a recording deal once the season is over.

Was anyone here annoyed when Phillip sang "We got tonight" and kept stroking his left leg? It seemed like he didn't know what to do with his left hand since he had no guitar.

I liked how Jimmy fessed up and said Jessica's performance of "I'll be there" didn't quite work, especially when she had to change the sound of her voice.

This is a petty observation, but I can't tell if that blonde saxaphonist who is always shown on camera when Phillip is performing is hot or not?

It wasn't a surprise that Joshua got voted off when looking at social media support. He was far behind Phillip and Jessica. Last time I looked Jessica had 60k more followers. If Phillip gains the people who supported Joshua, it could be a close finish.

I can't see anything other than WGWG5. My kid is a Jessica fan and got really mad when I told her about WGWG.

Three Day Delay

He did the same during "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling". I think that's reflecting tension when he is forced into a song he's not 100% comfortable with.
