Re: ABC announces Fall 2012-13 Schedule

Tuesdays at 9pm will be very interesting, with comedies on three networks (ABC, NBC and Fox). I watched both Happy Endings and New Girl this season, so I'll have to decide which one to watch live and wich one to watch On Demand (my first impulse is to watch Happy Endings live because it made me laugh more this season than New Girl).

Last Resort at 8 on Thurs is like the kiss of death. The home of Missing and Flash Forward

To me Last Resort seems like a 9pm or 10pm drama. An action drama from the creator of The Shield trying to apppeal to a male audience getting an 8pm slot seems odd. Ryan's last 2 network shows...The Chicago Code and The Unit were 9pm and 10pm shows.

Flash Forward didn't help itself - it wasn't good, so I don't blame the timeslot on its demise.

But it is an odd time for a non-cheesy action drama.

he mentioned on twitter that he won't have to "tone anything down" for the 8pm slot. Then again, Missing is quite violent (and feels like a 10 pm show)

Last Resort and 666 sound pretty interesting. Definitely going to check those out.

If Sundays weren't busy enough for me already. Add Revenge to a schedule that already includes The Amazing Race, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Veep. Luckily TWD and GoT don't overlap so that should help. 666 Park Ave. looks interesting too.

Re: ABC announces Fall 2012-13 Schedule

Not sure what I think about some of the changes. I liked Happy Endings' old timeslot. Having Modern Family as a lead-in certainly helped it. It should be interesting to see how it does on Tuesday. But the thing that sort of pisses me off is Revenge getting moved. Sunday is just way too busy as it is. I think I can get everything recorded because of how many times the cable shows reair, but it will still be really tricky. I wouldn't be surprised if something ends up having to be dropped from my schedule.

And if you watch Amazing Race, you almost have to record the show after it because it frequently runs late! Sunday is just a minefield.

Last Resort and Zero Hour are the only two that really interest me, but the alien neighbor comedy and Family Tools looks like decent enough time wasters.

Re: ABC announces Fall 2012-13 Schedule

From what I've seen so far, ABC by far has the best looking new shows.

I liked the trailer for Zero Hour. It had a very Davinci Code vibe.

Red Widow could potentially be another Revenge.

I know Nashville doesn't fit the demographic of this forum, but I'll watch anything with Connie Britton. But yeah it looks like a clone of Country Strong.

666 Park Avenue looks pretty interesting too.

Not that anyone is even remotely interested in Mistresses, but that is tentatively scheduled to air summer 2013.

Lots of serial dramas on ABC.

Comedy trailers can be very deceiving...cough Mr. Sunshine. I'll wait and see on those. It's fricking amazing though that Kyle Bornheimer keeps getting jobs.

I highly doubt that "The Good Wife" will be staying on Sundays. It makes perfect sense for them to move it to Fridays with "CSI NY" and "Blue Bloods"... start the night off with the procedural and then move onwards into the low-rated pseudo procedural-dramas later in the evening.

Last Resort trailer looked pretty good especially when Braugher goes into heel mode near the end.

Zero Hour looked a lot more interesting than the synopsis that was posted on the previous page. I might catch 666 Park Avenue just to see how it is.

Zero Hour, Last Resort and Once Upon a Time on ABC for me this upcoming fall season.

According to Deadline.com, Hulk is still in development at ABC and will be considered for the 2013-14 season. Guillermo Del Toro is still attached to produce and possibly direct the Pilot.

totally agree, they have a great blend of established hits and trying to push witht some cutting edge shows.. and getting some first rate talent.. I think ABC looks like a big winner in the fall to me...

Re: ABC announces Fall 2012-13 Schedule

Last Resort looks strong but like most shows I catch on network TV, I expect it to be cancelled after one season. Nothing on network can hold a candle to the quality the cable channels put out. Cable is able to go where network can't and it causes network to look immature and amateurish by comparison.

I can't wait until we get another Lost type show that grips it's audience from the start... but I suspect we'll get more CSI's and Can You Dance reality shows instead.

I wondered how they'd do a show like Last Resort. No way they could stay on the sub the whole time. I'll checkt hat out.

Yeah, I saw the trailer. I was just thinking of when the show was announced, that is seemed stupid to have a show that was only on a sub.

Even if she had been in Work It?
