Yeah, I don't think it was his penis showing. It was just the bulge. The dog act was amazing.

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
Howard's dad was a riot.

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
Maybe they should have blurred out Rebecca's camel toe.

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
Stern is bringing some much needed humor to this show, and is showing quite a bit of humanity. I'm sure it's disappointing those who wanted to see him be controversial.

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
^^I agree with that.
Also it's great to not have to watch Howie not X out performers just to annoy Piers. The three of them clearly look like they are having fun. |

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
I'd never watched the show before, but I used to be a huge fan of Stern so I checked it out. I knew Howard would tone it down for TV, he's much too smart to ruin his chance. I got bored quickly. Stupid, useless acts.

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
Has Stern been talking about this on his show?

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
I like the concept, but this show is produced to within an inch of its life. Even when the judges "chat" with one another rather than let them talk the editors splice together moments of speech with reaction shots and they cut out all the space between words so that in the end it doesn't sound like human beings talking to each other.
It's just obnoxious to watch. In my world the editor would be burned at the stake, but the truth is that this kind of fucking meth-head retard editing is what is neccessary to keep people from turning the channel. Oh and how come they blurred out "kicked in the nuts" guy's bulge but I could see every inch of that "balancing Australian" chick's camel toe? |

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
Howard was pretty brutal to the black dude who did the contortion dancing. Especially sine he put the other guy who did the same act through last week.
|
Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
I LOVED the "Distinguished Men of Brass" group (the "hip-hop" marching/dance).
|
Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
I've read that that manly dance (clogging?) group from last night was actually on season 1 and come in third place that year. Can anyone who watched back then confirm?

Edit: Yep, same group. |
Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
I love Howard on the radio (and when he appears on Letterman), so I gave this a shot, but it's unwatchable, insultingly childish and pandering dreck. Even with Howard, it's not really like Howard is on there.. the show is edited and produced so heavily it's impossible to tell what actually went on in the room. It took two or three sittings to get through the first episode. Not gonna waste my time watching any more. I'll be a Howard listener to the bitter end, but this is kind of a jump the shark moment for him, as far as I'm concerned. I'll just listen to Howard blather on about it on his show... when he comes back from vacation, of course.

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
I suppose that the straight jacket trick is that it's rigged to chomp closed as soon as he drops out of it.
|
Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
Looked that way to me.

Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
Say what you will about the editing and Howard being neutered, but it generally seems like he's having a great time.
|
Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
I think the people who are saying that Stern is neutered don't listen to the show anymore, this is more or less what Howard has morphed into. He still has venom running through his veins, he is just much more controlled as to who receives it. I can't wait for like week 5 of the live shows, he's tired, hates the drive into Jersey and just unleashes on one of the acts.

Why was I hoping the cannonball guy would miss the net. |
Re: America's Got Talent - Stern Edition
Loved the country guy with the stammer, and a great backstory! NBC sure wanted you to think the canon guy missed, which of course means he would be fine. I was surprised by Sharon saying she had never seen anything like it before... Really Sharon?? It's a pretty common circus act! I'm wondering where else this guy can go... Set himself on fire?! :D
