Actually Skylar is save. I voted wrong. I think Jessica or Hollie

I agree. Voted Hollie though.

CCR & Box Tops aren't British.

They are 60's. :scratch2:

I listened to Phillip's duet with Joshua - that was the first time I realized just how weak Phillip Phillip's voice really is. That was horrible. And I think that the Goose / Maverick reference by Ryan went right over their heads. At this point I hope that it is a Joshua Ledet / Skylar Laine final 2.

As far as who I think is going home this week - even though she wasn't the weakest, my vote is for Jessica Sanchez.

And Leona Lewis isn't 60s. ;)

Why not just call it 60's week?

I guess it was British pop OR the 60's.

I voted Philip.

Joshua was pretty amazing.

Voted Hollie. She sings well enough, it just never touches me.

I agree Phillip doesnt have the big voices of the remaining contestants. I still am totally connected to him when he sings and I find him very entertaining. Now Jessica has a huge voice, and so does Hollie, hitting the huge notes, and yet I am totally bored by their performances. Especially the Proud Mary number. I thought that was horrible.
I am concerned that PHillip will fall to the bottom 3 this week, but I think it has less to do with his talent than with his health. They mentioned his kidneys bothering him and the last 2 weeks he seems to have no energy and it has showed.
That being said I still think that him, Skylar and Joshua deserve the final 3. I would be happy with any one of them winning. I wasnt really a Joshua fan until tonight but he killed it. It is super talented with the big voice and the performance to boot.

It was both. One round each.

Though it was almost CCR night since they had two songs represented.

If P2 didn't even touch bottom 2 after those performances last night there is no fighting the inevitable. Drive to WGWG5!

I agree completely. If Phillip is the only one not to have been in the bottom after these last two weeks, then he's pretty much won this thing, -just like Scotty did last year. He even gets to sit out the music videos, which probably gives him more credibility.

I pretty much knew Sklar was gone during her second number. The "production" (the set, the bench, the extras) looked like a cheesy old variety show and took the focus off the song). I disagree with Jimmy Iovine, though, because he makes it sound like that was Skylar's choice, -I kind of doubt it was, since she seemed as baffled as anyone about it during the discussion.

I just kind of wonder why the producers flipped the script on Hollie and decided she was an up-and-comer instead of a disappointment. I don't see much difference in how she performed this week from how she performed when they thought she should go home.

Your wrong vote turned out okay!

I was pretty surprised at Skylar going home, though I do think her performances were some of the worst last night. She's got tons of confidence and stage presence, but the tone of her voice wasn't very good.

I'm glad Hollie survived. I've liked her from the beginning and I thought she and Joshua were the best last night. Y'all are probably right, though, that the WGWG will win it all.

Coldplay(ie Chris Martin) seemed a bit off to me tonight. I'm not a big Carrie fan but I really liked the song she did. I'm not sure seeing/hearing her perform live would make me feel so great about what I was doing if I was one of the five(edit:four ;)) left.

Dialidol.com had Phil at the bottom and Skylar as being the only safe contestant.

I remember when it used to be reasonably accurate, but it looks pretty useless now. Their predictions have been all over the place this season.

What a complete joke. The season is over. There is NO way that Jessica and Phillip are better than Skylar, and they should have been in the bottom two.

It looks like a plurality of America disagreed.

Was surprised to see her go, though I agree that this wasn't her best week.

She was the ugliest one left but I really thought Jessica would go. She also has that old woman look. But Skylar was just screaming and vibrating during Fortunate Son and it was a terrible version.

This isn't America's Top Model.

It's also not Top Shot. I am sure they take into account the look of the singers. It's Idol not musician.

It's Idol, not singer.
Fixed.
