We're closing in on the end here. So sad. I don't have many shows now as it is, and with this gone I'll only regularly watch 2 scripted network dramas.

Laurie appeared on the FOX 25th Anniversary special last night.

His lines were obviously scripted, but he said that FOX really gave House time to shine and it probably wouldn't have lasted 8 seasons on another network.

People are forgetting that House didn't become a hit until FOX moved it after American Idol (when it was getting massive ratings) Then House was getting close to 20M viewers per week and IIRC around 5.0 or 6.0 in the demos regularly.

The show was actually in danger of getting cancelled in the 1st season IIRC.

I believe it was. I recall when it's ratings soared. I was surprised they were getting that high.

I can't imagine they're anywhere near there now but this will always be one of my favorite TV series.

They don't really plan on putting Chase and Park together before the end? The whole thing seems so forced and ludicrous. Killing Wilson off would be a downer to end the series.

Don't really care about this series anymore tbh, seasons 1 & 2 were great (that one where House gives the lecture really sticks out in my mind), season 3 was decent, season 4 was ok (the bush crash episode was good), and I couldn't be bothered to watch it anymore after 4. The format of the show is just too formulaic to last as long as it has.

So you haven't watched since season 4, yet you felt so compelled to post in a season 8 episode thread to say that you don't care. Okay?

I always thought the finale of this show should be House getting ill, and his team having to diagnose him. I hope something along those lines happens.

It is 2 hours. However, the 1st hour is a retrospective documentary on the series run. Hour 2 will be the actual series finale.

Lame.

I'll watch it, though.

They really must have pissed off Lisa Edelstein as to not to want to come back for it.

If he doesn't die of lupus in the finale, I'm going to be really disappointed.
