Could be the end for Two and a Half Men as well.

Re: CBS Renewal announcements for 2012-2013

Miami has a slight advantage to return over NY because they just signed a very lucrative syndication deal with AMC and that should make the network alot of extra cash.

I'm actually shocked at how much I love 2 Broke Girls. I've never been a fan of any CBS sitcom prior to it and while most of the supporting characters suck, Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs have made the show work for me.

Had faint hope that CBS would do the right thing and obliterate Big Bang Theory from existence. Oh well.

Big to CSI. I know it's fallen far on most people's radars, but Danson & Shue have really invigorated the show.

Person of Interest has gained alot of momentum in the 2nd half of the season. It's the highest rated new drama this season. That was a no-brainer.

Glad BLUE BLOODS got a (relatively) early renewal...last year they waited until the last minute to decide. Probably my favorite CBS show.

Wow, is it really? I've been enjoying it but it still seems like mostly empty carbs to me. It just feels like something is missing.

Rules of Engagement?

That show airs for 2 months and then disappears every year

The last 3-4 weeks the ratings have approached 16M viewers and close to 3.5 in the demos.

What's missing is serialization...CBS (like 99% of their shows) made them make this a procedural, and it doesn't work as well in that format. We get a little growth/mythology here and there, but not enough to make it "must-see" TV. I can miss episodes and don't feel like I missed anything.

Yeah because cancelling one of their most popular shows on right now makes a lot of sense.

2 Broke Girls is one of my favorite new shows this season. The supporting cast is growing on me, but the two leads have been fantastic from the start. I still think it would be a better show on another network, but I'm glad it's doing well on CBS.

Maybe. I do like Enrico Colantoni, so it will be interesting to see where that goes. I just figured it would have moved up my "must watch" list sooner. Right now it's usually a show I watch when there is nothing else on the DVR.

Re: CBS Renewal announcements for 2012-2013

I like HIMYM, TBBT, and 2BG.

I guess CSI Miami isn't the ratings monster it was a few years ago? Ten seasons is a pretty sweet gig. I like it from time to time because the acting is so cheesy. I've never been much for CSI NY or the Vegas original.
If they're going to cancel Miami and NY, maybe the characters could do a crossover episode and have a big gunfight with each other.

Same here. Without Kat and Beth it would be unwatchable. Somehow, they make the show work.

Miami's ratings are down alot. It's averaged around 10-11M viewers for the last 2 seasons unlike it's prime when it got close to 20M. It went down after it moved to Sundays to make room for Hawaii Five-O. Football overrun always kills it. Viewer decline is always expected for older shows.

Re: CBS Renewal announcements for 2012-2013

I just really can't get excited about anything on CBS except for 48 Hours Mystery, but I do watch TBBT and 2BG occasionally and judging from their ratings it was a no brainer that they'd be back (with TBBT already being renewed).

To tell you the truth - instead of all of this reality garbage like Fashion Star on network tv - I wish they'd have more shows like 48 Hours Mystery on the air if they are not going to produce fictional shows. Those are actually interesting.

I love TBBT but I'm ready for HIMYM to end. Hopefully the next season is the last on that one.
