Re: Modern Family -- "Leap Day" -- 2/29/12

This episode was hilarious. So much good stuff from everyone.

I lost it when Phil opened the bathroom door and we see Luke covered in fake blood. That was easily one of the funniest things this show has ever done. Haley's reactions were priceless.

Gloria: "Nobody calls him Grandpa." *punch*
Luke: "...I do"

I loved Phil comparing Claire, Haley, and Alex ganging up on him to Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man all appearing in the same movie. The end was great too, with Phil saying that was their way of apologizing to him, but he wasn't sure and couldn't ask them.

Mitch: "Follow the Birthday Flag."
Cam: "What did you say?! Oh..."

The actor who plays Luke just kills it with his delivery every week. Easily the 2nd best character on this show, behind Phil.

Luke: "It smells like puke & poop got married and held the ceremony in my nose". Manny: "You paint with words".

Funniest episode in awhile. I haven't been feeling it too much this season, but this episode is back on track.

That should be an interesting episode.

The Devil's Trifecta hit on Phil's "most special day."

Re: Modern Family -- "Leap Day" -- 2/29/12

Between the Wizard of Oz party, the cancelled cruise, AND the amusement park, how much freaking money did Mitchell waste on Cam's birthday?

I loved the strangers staring after Mitchell's comment, "You're still the little 8 year old I fell in love with!"

The blood was predictable, but so funny. "The doctor?!? CALL 911!!!"

And Jay stil claiming to be a tough guy, while grousing over his soup and crackers in his bathrobe.

"It was a 1-1 tie, and one goal was an accident."

By the way, a Wizard of Oz party sounds beyond awesome.

The look on Phil's face when he realizes what was happening was hilarious

Unfortunate timing for a "Hey" "Hey" "We're the monkeys" joke.

I don't think I've ever seen the guy that does the voice of Bender before. He didn't sound that much like him except a little bit when he was yelling at everyone to get off his boat. Closing my eyes helped me hear Bender in there.

Unfortunate timing as well for a tornado reference.

Glad people noticed that and I wasn't going crazy!

Yes, weird timing--This happens all the time though. Glee was paying their respects to Whitney unintentionally, 2 days after she died.
And Happy Endings had that Bin Laden gag the week he was killed.

The best part was how Luke played it straight still. Covered in blood, he still claimed to have cut his finger and needed to go to the doctor.
