I am in the same boat. I found the show to be super anoying in a few ways. Are all reality shows like this in that they use music and editing in the most heavy handed way possible?

edit to add: George Takei's reaction to Lou Ferrigno taking his shirt off was tremendous.

Eh. Very, very, very occasionally. All of the women - even the model looked downright terrible, IMO (even Carrere which was shocking). Too much makeup that was badly slathered on to their faces - couldn't even cover up their acne and scars.

Pretty obvious board room firing tonight.

And can Trump Jr. look any more constipated than he did on the 'red carpet' at the sandwich shop?

Tia Carrere not the same fox as she was in True Lies.

You can replace Clay Aiken with Kenneth and nobody would notice the difference

Same here, except I would spell Carolla correctly.

He was hilarious, as I hoped and expected he would be. I've loved that guy since I heard him on Loveline when I was 12 years old (I'm 25 now) so any exposure he can get, I'm on board with. I loved him joking about Paulie Sr. picking THREE minorities as the two worst competitors of the day.

Really hope he makes it far.

This is my first time watching the "celebrity" edition of the show. What's the point of the "challenges" when really it just comes down to who has the richest donor that week?

I think only 2/3 or so of the "challenges" are fund raisers. The rest are Trump and his cronies judging something completely arbitrary.

No Carolla tonight, lame.

Really hard not to like any of the guys...while it's hard to like any of the women.

Trump tries way too hard to manufacture arguments in the boardroom, huh?

Yeah, no Carolla was lame. Oh well, still entertaining.

Yeah, making the guys turn on each other is such reality tripe. It's clear they are all calm, collected and cordial and work great as a team.

On the flip side the women (outside of Lampenelli) are all catty bitches that deserve to turn on each other. Loved Clay saying Victoria is prettier than Aubrey. While I wouldn't go that far, Aubrey is just scary looking and it's funnier that she thinks she's "all that."

Victoria is clearly delusional and living in a bubble where she has no idea that this is all being recorded.

Holy crap that boardroom stuff goes on way too long? They must have spent close to hour on that. Last week I was glad the show ran two hours, I really liked seeing so much detail on how the challenge was put together, but after this weeks show I'm dreading this being formula of one hour of show and one hour of boardroom.

Man is Ferrigno a fucking baby.

Did you notice what was on NBC before tonight's episode? A one-hour condensed version of last week.

Next week's episode will be preceeded by a one-hour version of tonight.

If you don't mind being a week behind, just watch the shorter ones.

Well, he's as gay as they come, so if I were Aubrey, I'd take that as a compliment. After all, he probably thinks George Takei is prettier than both of them.

Glad to see the mob wife exit, though if I were Lampanelli and that other chick, I'd be watching my back for the rest of my life.

For the life of me, I will never understand why people answer Trump's "If you lose, who will you bring to the board room?". It's such an easy question to dodge -- just say that you want to hear why you lost and bring people in based on that.

No shit. I was really sort of embarrassed for him. You'd think THE INCREDIBLE HULK wouldn't be so thin-skinned.

Penn seemed really diplomatic, though.

The boardroom sessions eat up so much time because The Donald needs face time.

Seemed like something that was manufactured for drama since the guys don't have any. Penn was overly apologetic and it's clear he was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

 Given a couple of vacant expressions she had in the board room I doubt there is all that much rattling around in that head. She reminds me of Puddy sitting on the plane with Elaine on Seinfeld.

The more boardroom they show the better I say.

I love when Trump asks, "who would you fire." It's classic because he wants to know right then if you have what it takes to make a quick, emotionless, business decision that has nothing to do with friendships or relationships. You better be able to answer and fast because Trump is studying everything you're saying.

I can't wait until Lou is project manager and Trump asks him whom he would fire. I guess the foot's on the other hand now.

 I think this might be more important on the non-celebrity editions...none of these guys have ANYTHING to prove to Trump, they've all made their name and already proven they have what it takes. It's just to create artificial drama. They'll keep the people around who will give the show the best ratings.

Did they explain why Carolla wasn't there? I'm sure he'll explain it on the podcast sometime this week, but I wasn't sure if I missed the explanation during the episode (if they did explain it, that is).

He was "hosting a wedding at his house". Whatever that means.

Last Fall (when they were filming Apprentice) he mentioned having a wedding at his house for a friend or something. I'm guessing it was one of those previously scheduled things that producers knew about when they signed him up.

The choice of winning team seemed like it could really have gone other way but probably went to the women just because the men hadn't lost yet. Is that how this show usually works? I haven't watched before this season.
