Re: The Celebrity Apprentice -- Season 5 Thread -- Sundays (NBC)
Aubrey getting picked last was true justice. The only player of the 18 that would've picked her up quickly is Lisa.
I do think an Arsenio vs Aubrey finale would've been more fun.
Except for the first 10 minutes, I barely paid attention to last night's show at all. Totally boring, IMO.

I think Clay and Arsenio picking Aubrey last was just petty. She has a big mouth and can be very uncouth at times, but she's clearly very smart and should have been selected over Teresa or Paul (and probably Debbie too). She plays well with Lisa, so Arsenio should have picked her and teamed them up together. It also would have made him look good since he's still trying to live down the misogynistic tongue lashing he gave her earlier on. To be fair though, I don't Arsenio should be a finalist at all. He really hasn't done much of anything and only got picked because he was less volatile than Lisa or Aubrey (and because Penn - the strongest candidate in the beginning - sort of mentally checked out halfway through, opeining up the field for everyone else).

Everybody can sleep now now that you heard Aubreys new song.
Shouldn't Bruce Springsteen sue her for copyright infringement since he came up with that song title for his new album which came out before this song?

Re: The Celebrity Apprentice -- Season 5 Thread -- Sundays (NBC)
No matter who 'wins' on Sunday, I think Aubrey is the real winner. I doubt that many people had even heard of her before this and now she has had weeks of exposure on national tv. She has a distinctive look and sure she's annoying, but since when has that ever been a negative for tv. Not sure it will revive her music career but I could definitely see her ending up on a morning show, one of those afternoon talk shows or a judge type role on one of the many talent shows.
I think Clay comes out of this as a winner too, though it is probably more in terms of helping him stay relevant to his base. Of all of the players, he never seemed to forget that there were cameras there and why he was there in the first place, so he rarely lost control. Even the people he stabbed in the back ended up liking him(maybe except Dayanna!)
I'm not sure whether the rest of the celebs were really helped that much. I'm not sure what Arsenio was doing since his talk show went off the air, but maybe he'll get his phone calls returned for a while.
Does really suck that Carolla got booted so early, even though he's not quite as funny as he thinks he is, the show was a lot better when he was riffing on everything around him

I was expecting these newest posts to be about Arsenio's appearance on The View today. He claims that during the Walgreens task, Aubrey was showing Teresa pictures of big black penises (belonging to all of her ex-boyfriends) on her Blackberry.

Aubrey's responses on Twitter?
@AubreyODay: I think he got my phone pics and his phone pics confused.
@AubreyODay: Arsenio Hall is such a desperate lying ignorant piece of trash. He should b careful about his lies, I run w the boys he hangs n closets with!

After Sunday Aubrey can go back to obscurity and I'll be perfectly fine with that.

HAd to chuckle about Aubrey saying that she was young and "undeveloped" before her firing. Yeah, with a rack like that...

Well, it's over...
... and I'm cool with Arsenio winning the title. He'll do more with it than Clay would have. I'd like to see Arsenio Hall get a late night show again. I have fond memories of his show when I was in high school.

I liked both guys. Still was hoping for Clay in the end. I was impressed how much his fans raised compared to the celebrity comedian buddies of Arsenio. Either way, glad it wasn't Lisa or Aubrey in the finale. And after all the drama over it, the wall mural sucked.

It was a bit drawn out, but I'm cool with Arsenio winning. Clay became a bit of a drama queen on that last task. Oh and the mural?
That's what the drama was over? For the amount of buildup, that was a pretty weak ass mural. Both charity parties were pretty lame though.
Loved the montages of Lou's 110% schtick and Lisa's meltdowns. They missed out on one for Aubrey's ego. I'm sure they could have pieced one together.

Didn't matter to me who "won", but since I had to pick someone I went with Arsenio.
I couldn't believe how shitty the mural looked. It looked like something a greasy spoon paints on its window at Christmas time. Debbie was talking about her cousin like she was Michaelangeo or something.
I loved Arsenio's voice over about "classiness" as he was throwing money on the floor and whooping it up like a frat house douch bag. If I was the guy who brought the donation I would have grabbed the money back and told Arseino to stop acting like a dickhead.
Didn't like Arsenio's monolouge about CP time. It's not funny, and I hate when people assume the audience thinks it is funny. For someone who is scared of the racial implications of tapdancing I was surprised he was throwing CP time around.
I hated when they would play the audio of the live audience over the show. Whatever.

I loved Arsenio's line about Aubrey after she said she didn't think much of him as a man saying he got a private donation from her in the back.
Perfectly timed! And deserved!

Well it's over. Didn't watch the last 3 episodes but I usually bail on this show at the end. I'm not sure Arsenio did anything throughout the season to deserve the win. He seemed to ride coat tails and never make a decision on his own. Biggest name for Trump to exploit and bring back next season though so it does make sense.

I would like to hear Trump's explanation on why he picked Arsenio. It just doesn't make sense. The only thing you could give Arsenio is his passion that he has towards his charity and he stroked Trump's ego in the boardrooms.
Clay was great on every task, was creative, and raised more money. I thought the choice was pretty clear that Clay should have won.

When it comes down to Clay Aiken and a brotha, always bet on black.

By picking Arsenio, Trump the show gets to associate itself with Magic Johnson, who is arguably a bigger celebrity than any of the contestants.
Like the Arsenio/Clay duet and the respect and affection the two finalists had for each other.
Dee and Debbie sounded really good together. Whoda thunk it?

Re: The Celebrity Apprentice -- Season 5 Thread -- Sundays (NBC)
I think Arsenio only won because out of the two, he had the most "name" recognition. Really, it should have been Aubrey vs Clay in the finale anyway.
Arsenio really did not do much at all during the entire season. The one time he was project manager, Aubrey came up with everything while Arsenio just whined about not liking his photo. He seemed to just coast through whereas Clay actually contributed a lot. Even when Arsenio was kinda good (ie when he was playing that puppet), Clay out shined him.
For the final task, I thought Arsenio's party and stage show was pretty boring. Clay's was fun and while his stage show was pretty cheesy, I did laugh when Dee and Debbie sang together.

Why the heck was Tia Carrere so happy about Arsenio winning? Or did she have something against Clay?
