The comic community is probably too small to try to continue something like this. I think Buffy is only doing ti because it has a rabid fan base that can keep that book in print. And by small I mean the top selling books have trouble breaking 100k sales. Plus to save money they always ALWAYS hire some hack to do the art and it looks like shit on most occasions (Dr Who, Supernatural, Farscape for examples)

Brian Lynch has said its still being worked on. There was a page of it floating around the internet a while back.
