Re: The Firm -- "Chapter 4" -- 1/19/12
well this time it was "4 week earlier" before they went into flash backs and "the case of the week", plus this ep also spent more time on the main over all story arc then in the past..
hum, so at this rate we should run out of flash back time with in 3 or so eps and have nothing else but the main story arc left. I'm not sure anyone will still be watching this show by that point but in a warped sort of way I just want to see how this plays out time line wise.. I like to see shows try something different but I still think this time jump backwards every week was a bad idea to launch a show..

Watched this tonight. Amazed that this is still on the air after getting a 0.9 on Thursday.
I know this show costed NBC next to nothing, but how long can you keep this on the air when it's causing your network to finish 8th in the timeslot.
Anyways, I enjoyed it. 2 pretty good guest stars (Lehman as I just mentioned and Christina Chang, who I really like) Case of the week was pretty interesting at least they tried to incorporate the main case which is part of the main arc into this episode with Ray doing the dirty work.
Dumbest part of the episode was Juliette Lewis' character getting annoyed and nagging Ray about marriage.

I guess they could put that Betty White Punk'd show on with it if they wanted to.

I think NBC is trying to debate whether they should just keeping airing this, or put Community on in this slot and do the 3 hour comedy block again. I think the only thing that may be holding them back is that they don't have another show to pair with Community.

As for a drama replacement, they have Awake, but even attempting to launch here will kill the show. This slot as evidenced by The Firm and Prime Suspect is a deathslot for 1 hour dramas as is Monday at 10pm for NBC.
