Re: Archer -- Season Finale -- "Heart of Archness Part 3" -- 9/29/11

The opening exchange between Mallory and Cheryl might possibly be the greatest thing this show has ever done.

"My god woman, where is your pride?"
"In my work..."
"That might be the funniest thing you've ever said."

Complete. Genius.

Loved how Archer was the only one completely unscathed at the end of the episode (whereas everyone else involved with his rescue was shot or stabbed). Also loved how he forgot his fiancée's name... Katya.

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Sterling is very upset when he learns that Mallory is dating his hero (and man-crush) Burt Reynolds (who provides his own voice). More upset, in fact, than he is about the Cuban hit squad that's out to get him.

Episode 4 of 16

In case you didn't remember, there was a 3 episode mini-season that aired in the Fall. That's why this is episode 4. But it's a 13 episode Winter season.

Re: Archer -- Winter Premiere -- "The Man From Jupiter" -- 1/19/12

It was great seeing Burt Reynolds back, even though he was a toon. Lots of great lines and reminders of his films. Fun episode for me.

This was a decent epsiode, but not one of the stronger ones they've had. The crack about ray only being needed if they need someone to go undercover as a shopping cart was hysterical though.

Thought it was a solid episode. I laughed quite a bit and I generally don't at Archer all that much.

One of those shows I like but don't laugh at all that much.

pretty good.

My 2 favorite lines were directed towards Ray: that one and calling him "Ironside."

The Stargate reference at the beginning had me rolling, one of my biggest laughs of the whole series because it was so out of the blue.

I don't think any show has as many utterances of "shut up" as Archer does.

Same here, that joke was as funny as anything they have ever done on Archer.
