Mad Men Season 5 - March 25th

Mad Men Season 5 - March 25th
Jon Hamm said on the "Doug Loves Movies" podcast on Friday that Mad Men will return March 25. And there was much rejoicing! Hamm didn't tell host Doug Benson any plot details of the new season, but he did show off a robust knowledge of film trivia, because there's nothing that guy can't do. March 25 is a Sunday, and it's the week after The Walking Dead finale, so presumably Mad Men will retain its 10 p.m. time slot. This means there will have been a mere 525 days between Mad Men episodes, but it feels like longer than that, doesn't it?

I'm wondering if anyone who blind bought seasons 1-4 on BD will be caught up in time. I asked that question in one of the bargain threads when the BDs were on sale and someone said there is no way in hell he will be caught up in time. Unless those people are extremely back up on their viewing, it's only 52 episodes and you can easily catch up by March.

Just finished watching season one last week and I'll definitely make it through the other three before the new season starts. I had seen season one a couple years back but haven't seen any of them besides that one so they're all new to me.

I hope they weasel out of Don's proposal. Nothing interesting can come out of that.
Oh, and @#!* yeah! I watched the first four seasons on Blu ... this will be my first on TV.

Very positive review of Sunday's episode, mostly spoiler free-the only one in there would probably not be regarded as a 'spoiler' as such, but probably more of an enhancement

This will be my first "live" season as well. Can't wait!
Season 5 of Breaking Bad will also be my first "live" season. Working my way through Season 2 of that one now.

This is my first live season as well. Was loaned season one on dvd last year and was hooked right away. I would imagine the ratings will be through the roof, there's several first time watchers just in our little dvdtalk world. As a Walking Dead fan, AMC did this right. Go straight from that right in to Mad Men.

It's utterly surreal to me how much time has passed or how many days it's been since I watched the finale of season 4. I can remember watching the finale like it was yesterday, yet it also feels like it's been forever.
Can't wait for this tomorrow. With The Amazing Race and Once Upon A Time coming first, what an incredible night of television!

I was looking at my DVRs "To Do" list and Sunday is getting loaded. Mad Men, The Amazing Race, Game of Thrones, Frozen Planet... and some other stuff I don't remember.
It's really been that long since Season 4? I think I rented the discs from Netflix in the 2nd half of last year sometime. What was the holdup?
