Terribly disappointing. I thought it was a complete mess. I can't believe 80% off the show focused on a storyline that had NOTHING to do with the overall plot of the show. It was complete throwaway filler. Couldn't the writer have put Mitch in a case that directly propelled him toward the Firm--and made that the focus of the pilot?! Instead, it was nothing but a two-minute tag at the end.

It wasn't very good.
This show will be canceled after its next showing, not sure what that means but I figure the more NBC cancels the better chance Community has.

I didn't make it through the whole thing, but if he had been in witness protection for ten years, would they REALLY have let him keep his last name?
Its not like a lawyer with the last name McDeer would be hard to find!

I share the views of the majority. This was just very underwhelming. I just felt distracted watching it the entire time. I tried to get into it, but it just never got my attention at all. I'm doubtful that I'll tune in again.
So true. Not very bright.
Dang, they must make hours longer where you come from. 
So true. Not very bright. This is what I got in 15 minutes. A chase scene that was so poorly shot and edited I fully expected to see a boom mike in one of the shots. Hackneyed dialogue, low production values and lousy acting. Thats what I call an 0'fer. I didn't see anything that worked on any level, nor gave me an impression that the next 145 minutes would be much different.
