Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) is forced to confront a secret from her past and feels she must do so alone, while Chuck (Zachary Levi) urges her to let him help. When Sarah encounters her original handler, Kieran Ryker (guest star Tim Dekay, "White Collar"), she fears that he will harm those closest to her, including her mom (guest star Cheryl Ladd, "Las Vegas"). Adam Baldwin, Joshua Gomez, Sarah Lancaster and Ryan McPartlin also star.

Episode 8 of 13

We're in the home stretch

Shows how much NBC cares about Chuck. This is the only new scripted show tonight. They really want to get all these aired before February.

I liked this episode a lot! Any Sarah-centered episode is usually good. Cheryl Ladd was great, and Tim Dekay actually was believably evil (very different from his White Collar boy scout persona).

I think I got a little something in my eye when Sarah and her mom were reunited.

Why is this not listed on my Comcast schedule?

Interesting. Never once did Sarah's mother call her by her real name.

Then again, I don't think she called her anything but "Honey" all night.

They really want to forget Sarah revealed her real name to Shaw and yet she still hasn't to Chuck yet she married him.

Why would Sarah be tricked by a crying baby? 5 years later and the baby is still...a baby?

I wouldn't get hung up on that. It could have happened off-screen.

I don't know, but from what I understand, Chuck will be airing every Friday until it's done.

I was similarly confused by that but figured it could be passed off as Sarah thinking he'd stolen another baby.

I think that's how it was supposed to be understood.

Pretty good episode!

I thought I heard her mom call her Sarah. Plus, her dad never called her by name.

No love for Tony Todd?!? He, along with Bryce's computer and the transition to the pilot, we're my favorite part!

They've really amped up the action this season but the Sarah in skimpy outfits has been sorely lacking.

She may have thought it was just a baby, but yeah I did say that also when she got distracted going "The kid's 5 now! No baby!"

I was paying attention to Sarah's real name thing too. Disappointed it wasn't mentioned.

It seems like this concluded the whole Decker/Shaw stuff though, right? There doesn't seem to be a big evil arc for the last remaining episodes so i'm curious how they'll finish it out with only 5 episodes left.

I thought it was great that he was back, especially after the lame way he was dispatched.

Now I just wish they'd find a way to work Bryce Larkin and Harry Tang in there before the end.

No idea why, but it did air at noon on Saturday and my DVR got it.

Thank you! I was wondering what the mysterious cigarette lighter/external hard drive-thiing was.

Some touching moments in this episode. Still waiting for Chuck to get the intersect back, though. They can't go the whole season and end the show without it, can they? Can they?

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Baby" -- 12/30/11

Good episode.

I also enjoyed the Shaw episode last week too. Surprised a few people here thought it stunk.

Great to see a Sarah-themed episode that showed a little bit of her past. Also liked seeing Cheryl Ladd as her Mom. Bringing back Tony Todd was also cool. However, it was so obvious that she was wearing hair extensions in the flashbacks.

Also liked seeing Tim DeKay play someone who is so different than Peter Burke on White Collar.

There was some very nice warm moments between Chuck and Sarah and the group. The show has always had alots of heart.

Really good episode I thought, but I'm always a little bit shocked when Chuck has an episode that shows off a lot of violence. I always consider this to be a lighthearted action/comedy fluff show, so Sarah's Matrixesque ass kicking was surprising (and awesome)

Yeah I agree the fight scenes with Sarah and Ryker were surprisingly really violent, especially the outcome.

It was helpful that the builder of the house neglected to place the studs in the wall 16" on center.

Ha! When he threw her through that wall, I was thinking "That's some shoddy workmanship right there!"

I didnt like the scene where Sarah killled the handler. He is locked in a deathmatch with an opponent, hears some shots, and slowly turns around and keeps his back to Sarah? WTF

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Baby" -- 12/30/11

I didn't see the whole "next week" thing last week, so I was just relieved that it A) wasn't Sarah's kid, B) they didn't try to make her Chuck & Sarah's "add daughter-instant family".

Nice return to the beginning. Enjoyed the episode. Even if I didn't agree with the "attention" factor from Ryker, liked that Sarah still put him away (not that she's shied away from that before, but good to see that as much as she's changed, that hasn't).

Looking forward to the last 5, but sad that their story telling has suffered so much from the rush.

Getting caught up with season 4 right now. They always seemed to have to rush, they never knew when they would get killed off. Too bad this never found a wide audience. I think these are some of the best episodes.

Zachary and Yvonne are the cutest couple on tv. They should hook up in real life.

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Baby" -- 12/30/11

Ratings have dropped a lot this season, 3.x million viewers compared to a couple of seasons ago where it was 6.x million viewers

I thought the current season has been decent!
