Clay better die tonight. But I'm sure he won't...my money is on Opie either dying or getting arrested. And Jax will manage to put up with Clay for most of next season, despite knowing he killed his dad, his best friend's dad, and maybe even his best friend (if my Opie death prediction is true). Then in the last 2 or 3 episodes of the season, Jax will get a bug up his ass again, and decide to finally off Clay and take over the club. The end.

I predict that tonight's finale will go something like this:
A whole lot of nothing until the final scene. Everyone will end up in Clay's hospital room. Jax will be in the process of dropping the plunger, and yanking out Clay's chest tube. Tig will walk in and point a gun at Jax and demand him to stop. Opie will walk in, pointing a gun at Tig, demanding that he put the gun down. One by one, the entire cast--Gemma, Tara, Chibs, Juice, Wayne, Potter, the fat prospect with a tiny nose...somehow, even Otto and Piney will be there.
Clay will suddenly rise up in bed, open his eyes, while a sly grin slowly appears on his face. The camera pans around the room, and everyone slowly starts to grin along with Clay. Those grins quickly turn into chuckles, then outright belly laughs. Then everyone looks into the camera and yells 'Suckerrrrssss!'.
The end.

I was expecting Opie to be killed by the Niners at the end. Usually telling someone you'll see this in an hour is tv code for someone's going to die.

That was laughably bad.
What a twist!
So now we get a season of Gemma making up with Clay and the two of them feudin' and a fightin' with Jax and Tara.
So glad they introduced Potter so he could spin his wheels all season and eventually just go and arbitrarily ruin Charming Heights a whim. Solid writing!

Kurt Sutter is obviously just making shit up as he goes. The CIA stuff just comes out of nowhere, the entire season was basically pointless. Juice? Potter? Even the letters? Glad I wasted my time on the first 13 hours of the season.

Brilliant plan to abduct Tara, CIA. So well executed, too.
Next season, I guess the President is going to come in at the last second and pardon everybody or maybe Jesus will appear and give everybody a hug. What the shit.

At least there was a 20 second clip of Justified to make the night worthwhile. Thanks Subway!

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- Season Finale -- "To Be Act 2" -- 12/06/11
Wow the writers just said completely fuck it this week... short of having Jax wake up and saying it was all a dream could there be a bigger contrived piece of shit story?
- Opie, who I will now refer to as No Sack (in honor of half sack) swallows a 2nd plate of shit and will not get vengence on Clay? Does he have anymore relatives/wives that Clay can gun down.... I'm curious as to how many people close to him have to die before he decides enough is enough.
- Jax, the "thinker" of the club doesn't think he can get the Irish to come around if Clay died of "natural" (blood thinner shot) causes... he sees no angle beyond OK I'll let him live and I'll stick in the club that I've had enough of? After all the "my family is more important" than the club bullshit as he was going to get out of the club, suddenly the club is more important? And he's good with Clay killing his father, beating the shit out of his mom, and taking a hit out on his wife... I believe this is where he would say "Jesus Christ!" Maybe he and No Sack can have a contest to see who can swallow more of Clay's shit without doing anything about it
And what bugged me the most is they just gave up on the minor details:
- Remember when they were not allowed to where their cuts in public as they were convicted felons... ahhhh..... screw it... (it's not like that provision had anything to do with ADA and RICO case) - sure it's a minor detail but why have it in the first place? And why just give up on it at the end of the show... did I miss something where they explained this?
- Noone fucking cares why Gemma is beat to shit.... sure a few people know why but isn't the rest of the club kind of curious?
- When the sheriff turned over the file to Juice, how does Juice not ask about what the story is with why he was in jail.... the ADA talked about how it was dealt with but Juice doesn't know about it... does he not care what the story is?
- They make this big show about all the manhours and scope of the investigation in the beginning... this might have been rang a bit less hollow if they had actually taken the time during the season to show the real breadth of the investigation (and not just the Juice leverage angle)
And finally.... is anyone going to fucking ask where the fuck Bobby is? or where Piney is (though not caring about Piney I could understand)... Only Jax and Juice know that Bobby is in jail... no one else is wondering where the hell one of their club members is during a potential war with the Niners?
Pardon the language and the rant but I'm annoyed as hell at how weak this shit was....

Contrivances all over the place and plots just ending after a whole season of buildup?

Anyone who saw season two shouldn't be surprised.
Clay and Jax giving up their blood feud just because Gemma was raped? Kurt Sutter is a hack.
And no matter how many temper tantrums he has on twitter he will always be a hack.

Pretty in depth interview with Sutter....
http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/12/07/so...e-kurt-sutter/
The thing he says about Juice really pisses me off. "If we all just told the truth from the beginning, they'd all be so much better off." Yes its a true statement and that what I said all along about the storyline...but its beyond frustrating to actually watch as a TV show.
Just when I thought this show could bounce back from a big let down of season 3...this finale was a slap in the face I feel.

The more I think about it, I'm done with the show. Should have been after Sons of Anarchy III: The Search for Abel, but I gave it one more chance this season. I see no point in watching next season.

Sooooo much potential with this show...it's sad how poorly it's been written.

Imho that sucked. This was a perfect opportunity to wrap up the series without getting old or redundant. Then that crap with Romeo and the CIA...ugh. It just felt forced and unneccessary. Honestly, I don't think I'll be back next year.
