I'm a huge Office fan, but this season has been a huge struggle to get through. This episode was major blah. Outside of the Halloween episode, I haven't been too impressed.

Yep, I'm not picky, have liked the season so far, but this one sucked.
I'm sick of every episode being Andy trying to get the office to respect him as their manager, and ending with a nice sentimental moment.

I've never really been a fan of the show, but have been watching the new episodes for this month's Comedy challenge, but largely the episodes I've seen have been below mediocre IMO.

Yep. I'm with you too. The best episodes to date have had a lot of Dwight in them. Not enough Dwight in this one. Also thought it would have been funnier if Robert hadn't realized Kevin is an idiot.

I find it difficult to believe that someone as astute as Robert CA would just now have realized Kevin is an idiot.
Andy just isn't working as the focal point for me this season. I actually think this is the least interesting his character has ever been. They've sanded away so many of his quirks over the years to make him a more likable character but now in this position he just feels like a watered-down, inoffensive Michael Scott.

Did I miss something? Who was the brunette girl sitting in on the "brainstorming" meeting Robert had at the office?

Pam's temp when she goes on maternity leave. I agree with the sentiment, this episode bored me. Haven't had a problem with the season overall though.

Liked the Being There homage, but otherwise it was pretty lame.

This season has been wonderful, but this episode was a miss. Agree about too many episodes dealing with Andy trying too hard to be a manager and ending with a sentimental moment.

I didn't feel like the Gabe Lincoln thing had any payoff. I kept expecting something funny or awkward to happen at the end, but it never did.

Not to mention the weird editing and producing on this episode, with Gabe doing the Abe Lincoln stuff, then later back with the group without a word from the others like 'where did you wander off to?' or anything, then the last scene after the credits is more of Gabe doing his impersonation of Lincoln.
