I couldn't even tell you what night Beverly Hills 90210 aired on but I watched every episode (up until Dillon left) when it began airing daily after school.

Re: TV series' discovered only through syndication?

The biggies for me are "ER," "Friends," and "Dynasty"... When I was in 9th grade I got very sick and ended up being homeschooled/tethered to the couch for most of the year and TNT/TBS/SOAP were playing reruns of all three for a couple of hours a day in order. I ended up coming to "ER" and "Dynasty" in the midst of their first seasons and the second season of "Friends"

Mama's Family

Back in the late 90s, my friend and I would always watch Beast Wars (we were maybe 12 or 13 at the time). Anyways, one day Beast Wars was a rerun, so his mom turned the channel to Mama's Family.

After that, I was hooked on the show.

The Untouchables-discovered it when local CBS station aired it weeknights at 10:30.
Frasier-Never saw it once on network. This show's a riot. Think I've seen them all now.

Re: TV series' discovered only through syndication?

The best show I ever discovered through syndication was Arrested Development. While I knew of Scrubs, I didn't start watching it until it was in syndication, too.

Arrested Development

I wonder if it would have lasted longer had more people watched it during the first run.
