If some demon snake is crawling around someone's body I wouldn't risk CPR.

I was thinking that durring the episode!

Honestly, this is the episode that made me decided to stick with the series. I really enjoyed the pilot, but the middle episodes were a little slow but now I realize they were just setting up the characters and the tone of the series. I loved that they had the balls to kill off a major character this early in the series, and definitely a character you can tell the writers never bothered to seriouslly established.

This really reminded me of an episode very early on in "The Vampire Diaries" where
Spoiler:
they killed Nikki
that completely changed the tone of the series and now 40-odd episodes later the action hasn't stopped.

I think it is interesting that this thread has twice the replies of that night's vamp diaries episode (which i thought was also kick ass)

I wonder who gets to sympathy bang Melissa through her time of loss.

Well at least the one that Charles and the Principal (Dawn?) have is.

Gale Harold is actually kind of a name. However, he is reportedly a pain to work with so I wouldn't be surprised if he got booted by the end of S1.

Yup. I was following up on ATX's comment who said they could use the stone/crystal. I knew I heard someone say that it was powerless during the show and sure enough after rewatching the epsiode Dawn definitely said it was useless to them so they couldn't have saved Nick anyway.

That's the first I am hearing of this. Who commented on him? Marc Cherry? I know he likes to spill gossip.

I was really not expecting them to kill Nick. I was expecting the old "we drown him to kill the demon, then revive him with CPR" routine. Shocked that they killed him off. Seems kind of weird to break the circle so soon after going through all the hassle of binding it.

Charles killing Amelia without remorse but being sad about Nick did seem a bit off. I know, adult vs. child, but it still felt off.

Glad that Grandma has power. Too used to her being on Heroes and sitting around while everyone else was in danger.

I think Charles killing Amelia via magic, outside the house and after some kind of history between them is far different than holding a relatively random kid underwater until he drowns. I didn't even bat an eye at that reaction.
