Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Zoe (Rachel Bilson) is determined to win Bluebell's gumbo contest and prove to everyone that she is a part of the community, which will hopefully help her land some patients. Lavon (Cress Williams) develops a crush on Zoe and Brick's (Tim Matheson) new receptionist, Didi (guest star XX), but things get a little messy after Lemon (Jaime King) catches wind of the news. Zoe and Brick find themselves having to work together to perform a life-saving surgery. Scott Porter and Wilson Bethel also star. Andrew McCarthy directed the episode written by David Babcock (#103).

I like the show, but i have to say i find Rachel Bilson dropping medical jargon, jarring and like she is just reading a bunch of words. it is not the best show on TV but far from the worst.

Good episode, although Lemon is grating on me. I especially don't like how she's playing the mayor, while telling her boy to stay away from Zoe. I don't know if it's the character, or the annoying fake sweet southern belle thing. We know it's a facade.

Good to see the doctor soften a bit.

Love all the references to Burt Reynolds off screen.

i am hoping he says something nice about Zoe, if they show him doing the radio interview.

looking forward to overly hot, frizzy haired Bilson next week.
