Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works
It's legit. It's on the EW website too. The only one who looks like they've aged a day is Maeby.
Glad to see EW is continuing their trend of making EVERY issue a "special double issue."

I knew this was too good to be true. It appears production has been suspended.
Arrested Development "Pauses" Production

Don't bother reading the whole article. I haven't bolded any of it.

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works
This is another reason why releasing them all at once might not be a good idea. If they would air (er, stream) one episode per week, maybe they could start them in February or whatever the original date was, and get caught up by the time they get through whatever they're up to now.
Although, it sounds like it might be edited differently now, as if the footage slated for earlier episodes will expand into later episodes. I hope that's what they're doing, and they're not just being forced to pause production because Netflix demands them all at once.

Did you read and comprehend the entire article? They shot too much footage, so the episode order will be increased to 12 to 15 episodes. The producers need time to view the footage. They are still on schedule to make their Netflix posting date. They are actually extending the shooting schedule.

They're looking at their 10-ep shoot footage, writing more scenes & shooting 'em, then releasing a 12-15 ep whole, with new arcs sprinkled throughout. The season was already set for a Spring '13 debut, which it still has ample time to meet. So yay. Or hoyay.

Okay, so since they didn't say it was going to be February (which I thought I had heard), it's not "delayed" because the release date is just "spring." Got it.

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works
I just had a thought. I guess when the episodes make their debut in 2013, there should only be one thread since they are all being posted at one time. It doesn't make any sense to do episode threads. However, what happens if some poster here watches all 12-15 episodes at once or in a week and starts posting spoilers galore on each episode right away? I'm sure most here won't have the time to watch all the episodes right away. It's hit and miss for this one. The same logic will apply to House of Cards and Hemlock Grove when those are posted all at once.
Your not going to have much productive chatter with spoiler tags all over the place and a poster wanting to talk about episode 9 when everyone else is on episode 2 or 3.

If the episodes are available, they're fair game. I don't see a point for separate threads. If you don't have time to watch everything available, it's on you to not come into the thread.

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works
There is a small part of me that wishes that they would "air" one episode a week or something along those lines, instead of releasing them all at one time. Just so we have some time to really take in each episode, time to get on here and to talk about it and post funny gifs and pictures and all of the other stuff we used to do. It will be very overwhelming to release them all at the exact same time.
I'm sorta shocked that Netflix would even put all episodes of something brand new to the market up at the same time, both for this and House of Cards. You would think they would want to release it more along the lines of a normal TV season, in order to keep people from just signing up for a trial and then not signing up again once the first month or whatever is up or once they finish watching it all. Then at the end of the "season" they would still have each episode up all together already.

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works
I personally don't care. But if someone here watches 2-3 episodes and only wants to talk about them the night they are posted, but another watches 8 or 9 episodes and talks about all of them in detail, someone here might get upset. I mean you know there are so many people here lurk through these threads, watch the show, but don't post or rarely post. But you know it's comedy and not a highly serialized action adventure or fantasy, so it's chances are it won't be that big of a deal.
