Synopsis:

Spoiler:
The growing bond between man, Jay, and dog, Stella, is grating on Gloria's nerves; Phil and Luke embark on a new adventure involving a tightrope, but it's Claire with the missteps, as she tries to teach the girls a life lesson; and Cameron chooses the most inopportune time to start a juice fast, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

I'm still laughing at last week's line.

Gloria: I want to make my ears pop!

Manny: Try a little rouge on them.....Nobody gets me.

"You know who else needed air?? SNORKLES!"

All the dog stuff was great as well. Loved her in the shower.

at Gloria chewing on the shoe.

I always crack up when they have Haley and Alex go at it.

From start to finish, another great episode.

Manny sleeping on the floor next to Jay and Gloria's bed, Cam and Mitchell eating the dog cupcakes, Jay talking to Gloria like a dog, and of course the interactions between Haley and Alex are always hysterical!

Man, I did not laugh at all for the first time. I need to rewatch it, I must have been tired.

Thought this was one of the better episodes. Loved the sea lion act and the dog conflict.

My favorite part was the growing look of joy on Phil's face as Luke was explaing why he won't fall if the tightrope was much higher.

Why was Cam's shirt wet before he was to the water? Did they use a second take without switching out the wardrobe or something?

Stella should win an Emmy. (If it was possible on any show, I'd say it's this one. ) I'm pretty sure having her look directly into the camera before the cut to commercial is one of the best things this show has ever done.

Yeah, that bothered me too. They must have done a previous take where the wave had come in already.

superfro, who is Stella?

I saw it more as a fat dude running and profusely sweating. Back sweat is a killer.

They're making MUCH better use of the Luke character this season. I loved his explanation to Phil re: why he was falling.

It's not just you...I didn't laugh much either. The Jay/Gloria stuff was the best...the rest was rather "blah."

Re: Modern Family -- "Phil on Wire" -- 9/28/11

The Cam and Mitchell has not been enjoyable for a while and it's not getting any better. I never really liked Mitchell, his entire presentation is whiney. But Cam made up for it. They are turning him into such a bitch he's not the fun one anymore.

The Jay and Gloria was comic gold this episode. The Dunphey family was good to excellent. The Cam and Micthell was something to tolerate until one of the other groups come on the screen

His conversation with Mitchell about the bag of junk food was excellent as well.

Gross out scene when Mitchell left his chair after hearing what happened to Snorkels. He had a huge saliva drool hanging from his mouth. Ewwwwwww!

to Stella.
