Episode 3 of 16

I'm a little confused. Futon Critic.com says this is getting 22 episodes. HitFix.com reported it was getting a short season so Awake could possibly take this spot come midseason. I'll assume it's 16 for now.

Another excellent episode. They just nail a load of stuff (especially the Drew crush).

Also, any Max-Free episode is an added bonus.

Pretty good episode. I enjoyed the Drew storyline, not so much on the Amber storyline but the payoff was funny.

One of those minor nitpicks, but they clearly showed the score on the TV when the Cal player was scoring the touchdown and it was 21-3 (making it 27-3 after the score, or 28-3 if you assume the XP is good) and yet Adam said the score was 17-10. Why get the little details wrong when it's no extra work to get it right?

Really good episode last night! I knew what the reaction was going to be when Amber and Sarah saw the rat, but damn that was funny!

Looking forward to this season especially since they showed

Spoiler:
Drew's father is going to be returning again

Love this show. Even if things are predictable at times, it is completely made up for with the acting and natural interactions between all the characters.

Laughed heartily at the girls running out of the loft from the rat saying "It's standing! It's standing on two legs!"...or something to that effect. For some reason it just struck me as extra comical.

Adam is an amazing portrayal of a good human being. Totally impressed with his speech to the a-hole rich couple. Rich a-hole: "He needs to be held accountable for his actions!"...kind of how you're holding your a-hole son accountable for *his* actions and yourself accountable for your poor parenting?

Why Adam never explicitly asked why they allowed all the kids to have underage drinking at their house or seem not to care that that occurred at all was something I found surprising.

He was there to plead Alex's case. If he put the parents on the defense, Alex would have paid the price. Adam played it perfectly ... errrr the writers wrote it perfectly.

I don't think this is a great show, but it once in awhile it shifts gears. This was one of those episodes. Even the Julia segment was good. I really like the coffee girl. She reminds me of Marisa Tomei and she is doing a great job at bringing some life into what could have been a crappy storyline.

This is why I love this show as well....yes, sometimes it approaches the "goofy realm" but it always pulls back just in time and then drops another bombshell. I always find myself pulled right into this damn show.

I used to despise television shows now there are a solid 4 shows that I won't miss.

NBC just picked up an additional 2 episodes this Season. So the order is now at 18.

And the ratings actually improved in the 2nd episode over the premiere. Still not gangbusters, but I hope NBC can continue to make it work at around 5 million viewers/week.
