That was much better than the Pilot; and it renewed my faith in the show. Thought it was much funnier and a lot more consistent throughout the episode. Schmidt is still pretty annoying, but the rest of the cast felt as though they dialed it back a bit. The new guy actually feels as though he'll fit in better than Wayans; and I think Jess, the guys, and Cece play well off one another. Jess's quirks also felt more natural and charming tonight as well.

I know I'm biased, and you probably know it too 'cause my love for Zooey Deschanel is so terrifyingly well-documented, but for two weeks running, I've found myself laughing more at this show than anything else I'm watching. Well, I think Archer might've edged it out last week, but whatever. I'm glad I actually like it because I'm all full-up on guilty pleasures.

Still one of the worst new shows I'm watching, BUT I did laugh twice, which is two more times than I did during the pilot. I will watch this with an eye for improvements, but if the most I laugh is twice per episode I won't stick with it.

The new guy seems like he would actually be friends with those dudes, where as with Wayans Jr, not so much.
Eventually they will have to give us a reason to watch this beyond ogling Zooey for 30 minutes. Because right now thats all this is. Don't get me wrong, watching her do stuff for 30 minutes is enough to hold my attention for the time being. But at some point they are going to have to actually produce a show thats entertaining.

I agree that this was significantly better than the pilot which gives me hope for the show. I've been on the Zooey bandwagon since I first saw Mumford twelve years ago, but it would be nice if the show gave her a little help.

The writers really are not doing Zooey's character (or the whole show) any favors by making her a much hotter Homer Simpson. This was a bit better than the pilot but there were still quite a few lame near cringe-inducing moments.

Could someone explain their place to me? Why, in the pilot, did their bathroom look like a public bathroom, including urinal, and what would appear to be a shower at the YMCA? Why did it look like, at one point, that there were lockers in their apartment?
Is this some loft space that used to be a factory or something but they kept the public washrooms? I do not understand.
I'm enjoying the show, btw, but their place not looking very residential is throwing me for some reason.

Thought it was even better than the pilot, which I enjoyed a bunch. Seems like the kind of show that is only going to get stronger if it gets the chance to.

I missed the pilot. If this episode is an approvement then I'll quite watching now. Awful. Zooey's cute but not cute enough to make me endure this rubbish. Easily the worst new show I've watched and that includes Charlie's Angels which was pretty dreadful.

Thought this was a regression from the pilot. Coach was much better than his replacement and no douchebag jar (unless I missed it). So now all three guys are annoying/generic and Zooey's character acts like she's mentally challenged.

I thought this ep was a big improvement over the pilot. I actually thought Zooey's quirks came off more believable and less mentally challenged than last week. This ep was good enough to at least grant the show a longer probation period.

Pretty much a lock for a full season now. Over 9M viewers last night and a 4.4 in the demos.

Zooey just isn't working for me in this show and it isn't helping anything to have all the other woman on the show be so much better looking then her.

That was much better. It was odd to see Zoey act like her older sister during the re-claim, but I enjoyed it. It will be a nice companion to Raising Hope.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one again. What happened to the coach character? He was much better than his replacement.
