This episode was just alright. Nothing to go crazy about.

The opening musical number was cool and Abed freaking out about Cougar Town moving to midseason was kind of funny. But as someone here mentioned earlier, being a Pop culture geek that he is, there is simply no way he would have been clueless all summer long about that news since it was announced in May.

The Dean is getting on my nerves. I already get creeped out that he's an "In the closet" homosexual who's in love with Jeff. But, seriously does he always have to wear some kind of feminine costume in skits/special events on this show. The opening musical number with him wearing that dress was just weird. I did like his little war/head butting with the Vice Dean.

I'm not sure I really understood the whole money situation. Why do that not have money for this new school year?

Chang getting a job as campus security might provide some comedy later.

I think it was because the Dean was clueless about how much the AC school was bringing in, and was poking around about the coffee machine. So John Goodman got pissed and cut their budget (when he said something like "You couldn't just leave us alone").

What's particularly bizarre about that is the fact that the opening dance sequence was all in Jeff's head. So even in his ideal, Pierce-free universe, the Dean is still a cross-dressing homosexual.

Solid episode but not a stand out by Community standards. Goodman did seem a little out of place but I'm looking foward to seeing how they use him this season.

I agree that the 'member becomes ailenated from the group and is later accepted back' thing is getting old

John Goodman seemed to be channeling Rip Torn from Men in Black. I kept waiting for him to tell the dean that they weren't hosting an intergalactic kegger.

Well, I give this episode a pass, because there were clearly a lot of things to tie up from last season, and a lot of exposition for this season.

Yea this was a total let down. Maybe one of the worst of the series. Annies ass was wonderful, but the rest, ehh no.

Really thought Childish Gambino mailed it in for his performance in this episode. His worst ever for the series.
