I really hope they don't kill Mike. I realize that characters on this show are going to have to die, but we still have way too many episodes left, and I would like Mike around at least for a little bit longer.
For all the talk on Aaron Paul, and, yes, he was terrific both in Breaking Bad and the Office tonight, I think that the work that Giancarlo Esposito has been doing these last few weeks has been exceptionally good.

Skylar, like Walt, JUST had to blab. Realizing her hasty plan had totally failed, she had to tell him the money was from her. And why? Because it will make him pay his taxes, or because he'd just insulted her and she had to show him? Ugh.
Jesse was awesome--great job in the lab and the shootout. Walt is looking quite as essential as he was last season, which is not good news for him.
I like how the show avoids cliches. In any movie, most worse than 1 ep. of this show, Gus would have said something like, "Now you know your place" or "It's just business" to the Don as he was perishing into the pool...

I love this show but I 'ed at the CSI style insta-matic gas chromatograph. I want one of those for our lab. You don't have to weigh the amount you're analyzing, you can dilute it to any volume you want, not use any standards, and the GC will instantly tell you how pure it is.
No wonder they need a chemist to make their product in Mexico.
I know I'm being very comic book guy but the show has been pretty good with its chemistry until then.

Feel free to hate on Skilear for being dumb enough to give that much money to an unethical prick who's bad with money, but once she was that far in she had to make it work.

I also noticed the smirk from Gus during that scene. Jesse is slowly becoming very important to Gus, something that I don't think he had planned. Right now, watching Gus, Mike & Jesse is far more entertaining than anything else on the show. Hopefully next week, we get more Hank.

Yeah that was a great fucking episode and I remember looking at the clock and just wishing the show would keep going... So much happening and still 3 episodes to go!

For those that dont have a problem with her (I refuse to make a funny name since the best one's been done and cant be topped) telling him how he got the $, all he has to do is see there's no way she should have that type of cash and he can feed her to the feds to clear his name.

Yeah I definitely am getting the sense that Walt's cancer is back after the talk with Junior as well. You could see it coming a mile away that Gus was going to poison the Cartel with the drink but it was still a great scene. Jesse was great as usual and I loved the scene in the lab. Skyler is a mixed character to me and seems like she is going to be one of the downfalls that is eventually going to get Walt busted. Giving the money to Ted is going to make him very suspicious which in my mind will lead to him going to the cops which will lead to Hank investigating Walt and the car wash.
Easily one of the best episodes of the season though. I knew the slow burn first half of the season would pay off as that's what this show has basically done each season. Such a good show and I can't believe it's almost done for good..

I do admit all she would have to do would be to tell Walt, but then again she would have to admit what happened there as well.

I'd say a bit of both, but she pretty much had to. If she didn't she just flushed $600,000 down the toilet AND was still risking an audit that could splash back onto her.

Because she was telling him he needed to take care of this and he wouldn't listen. So she told him "I just saved your ass and you need to fix this."
She had no leverage over him when it was his mystery aunt's money. Now he knows he's beholden to someone.
It's kind of like when Santa would give you $100 for Christmas and you would say "I'm going to spend this all on Pixie Sticks!" and your mom says "I think you should put that money toward your college education."
Basically, Skylar just told Ted that there's no Santa Claus.

I guess it's possible he'll say, "What? That $600,000 was from you? OK, now I will use it to pay my back taxes." However, I'm guessing it's not going work that way. She still has no leverage; actually, he is now the one with the leverage against her, since it is suspcious she would have that much extra cash lying around. If he says, "Thanks for the money" and doesn't pay his taxes, what is her leverage to coerce him to do so? I'm guessing her only leverage, if any, will come from Walt & co.
