Oof. For the second week in a row, another horrible new concept, this time turning a bar into a "carnival" themed bar. Just terrible. But unlike last week's laundromat, this place seems to (according to barrescueupdates.com) still be in business. Also for the second week in a row though, a very cute bartender at least made the show a little more watchable. Just a little though.

this show has made it so that anytime I'm in a bar I look around to see what Taffer would swear about

That's partially why I still watch the show.
I was at a bar one time and noticed them scooping ice into the glasses using the glasses themselves, and thanks to Taffer I learned that's a big no-no (You can get glass chips in the ice. Use an ice scoop)

That’s nothing, I was at a local bar recently where someone was vaping at the bar right next to me- right in front of the bartender. Smoking (and vaping) in bars/restaurants has been illegal in my state for over a decade. The bartender didn’t seem to care.

I know it's a far different time, but many many years ago (in my 20s), I specifically went out of my way to patronize bars where the bartenders were noted for overpouring, and I damn sure wasn't the only one. These places were packed, and taking in massive amounts of cash at the bar for the stronger drinks. Taffer really gets on bartenders for overpouring, but there was a time when that was a blueprint for success. I'm just happy I made it home in one piece, and I definitely don't do that today. Like I said, different eras.

Season 8 starts tonight. The season is supposed to be Vegas-centric.

oh man, I haven't watched this in a while, the reruns on cable kept being the same ones over and over again. But a new season might keep me interested for a while even if it is the same formula over and over again

Danny Trejo? Interesting. I know he owns some places so maybe he's more the just a stunt casting.
