Well given the raves over Gavin Rossdale, I hate to side track the thread, but when is the mid season finale?

Kind of a cool episode. Tricking the mercs into thinking they were security from the same company and then using that story to get the leader guy killed, since it was so absurd.

I don't know about "always." The first season was a straight run through. Season 2 ran 9 episodes, then 7 episodes after a break. Season 3 was 9 then 7 too. Season 4 was 12 then 6. This season also appears to be a 12/6 split.

Looking at the ratings, the show appears to perform better during its summer run, which is perhaps why they expanded the summer run and shortened the winter run.

Most USA shows do better during the Summer due to the lack of competition.
