Episode 5 of 9

First 30 minutes were pretty great. The scene outside the firehouse with the guys was classic.

Then we got the scene with the family. Ugh. Terrible.

Episode ended strong though.

"Who called the cops? I did. You guys are getting your ass kicked in there. "

Loved it. Sheila was awesome.

Only thing is I'm getting sick of Franco being a jerk all the time.

^ Yeah, am getting tired of Franco's antics as well. Otherwise, pretty solid ep.

Its as if the family all become worse actors when they're together.

This was the best episode of the year so far. Started strong, finished strong and the only blip was the stupid family fight. But even the fight was saved by Tommy balling up and telling his family off.

Fun episode all around. I was biding my time for the inevitable NYPD-FDNY bar brawl.

Does anyone know the name of the actress who plays the chick Garrity is hooking up with? She looks familiar, but I can't place her. Could not find it listed on imdb.

I don't know her name off hand, but she was Will Ferrell's assistant during his stint on The Office.

I think she is actually going to be a regular on The Office.

OK episode... I think I'm just so soured on it now that even the decent stuff I sort of scoff at.

The family meeting was awful, but I was disappointed with Tommy's tirade back to them... it was a copout... I really wanted him to fucking rip them all a new asshole...

If Tommy didn't already just recently save Franco, I'd say that someone is going to die saving Franco's life which will get him back in the fold. Not sure what they are doing with his character with only 4 episodes left...

I don't know why some of you are just now noticing Franco, he has always been a dick. It's just that they rotate his character in and out so much from the different story lines that maybe it didn't sink in until now.
