One thing I don't quite understand is why Saul is so worried. I mean, didn't Mike bring Walt to him in the first place? That would imply there was a preexisting relationship, so I'm not sure why Saul seems to have allied himself with Walt instead of Gus. Any thoughts on the matter?
Sorry man, I don't think there's any going back now.

Maybe Saul is still shaken up after Mike threatened him when he was hunting Walter...

I can see Jesse being a "replacement" for Mike. A cold, blooded killer.

The good news for you is that the show may or may not get a Fifth Season.

The bad news is it likely will...maybe with an additional. We will play this out to the bitter end.

Great callback for Walt's wife from the first season using her writing skills.

Great foreshadowing with Jesse pointing out the guy who robbed him is blindfolded, hence he was not going to get killed. Later on he gets kidnapped sans blindfold.

I feel kind of bad for Jesse, but I kind of love his "don't give an F" mentality at the moment...

If Mike really wanted to kill Jesse, then why not just shoot him up and make it look like an overdose? That way Walt would not be able to blame Gus and Walt should continue cooking for Gus.

Also, how did Mike catch the guy who stole Jesse's money? How would he even know he stole Jesse's money? My best guess is he was watching Jesse's house and the guy came out with the duffel bag.

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Bullet Points" -- 8/07/11

A little too much melodrama in this episode for me. I thought the Walt-Skyler conference on their story dragged on way too long.

It does strain believability that a supposedly careful drug operation would let Jesse stick around like that. I know they want to keep him around on the show because he's a good actor, but they need to find another role for him other than 'constantly jeopardizing the operation'.

There's a lot of loose ends currently, and it's starting to feel a bit like they're stretching things out.

Wasn't the new black dude there? The lab partner? I thought the black guy handed the money to Mike, who tossed it to Jesse after [new black dude] gave him a "yeah, it was me" look. Perhaps the black dude saw someone come out of the house carrying a bag and looking suspicious? I can imagine a meth head stealing $78k would be paranoid as hell.

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Bullet Points" -- 8/07/11

I loved this episode. The writing was just great. I'd love to see a movie written by this team.

We were watching the first scene with Walt and Skyler and out of nowhere my wife says "I f'ing hate Skyler". I guess that shows once again who's the man (and a misogynist!) of our relationship. I just can't hate a blonde with big boobs.

What if Walt Jr. ends taking the business from dad after he dies? I'd love to see that as an ending. I doubt they would do that but still.
Also, they kinda talked about how they could end the show, disappearing, but I really hope they don't go that route.

In the last couple of episodes Skillet had been really bugging the hell out of me, but she was actually somewhat tolerable in this one, mainly just Walt's reaction to when they were going over the lines she had come up with. It made me laugh. Also the look on Walt's face when the Gail video came on...good stuff from Cranston in this one. Really enjoyed his rant with Saul as well.

Great episode but I would have to agree that, for a drug op as meticulous as it this one, Jess' character has become an enormous liability towards almost every single character in the show. It would definitely take guts to "write out" his demise and show absolute commitment to the show's unpredictability.

I'm getting sick of Jesse. Please kill him off. That would be an awesome twist.

Except Jesse already knows Mike, whereas the guy who was blindfolded wouldn't have known anyone, so a blindfold for Jesse would be pointless.

Gus never wanted to hire Jesse. Last season Walter demanded it and Gus gave in. Obviously Gus regrets it, and it's a rare mistake for Gus to make, but not really that unbelievable.

Skyylrr!

Another good episode as usual.

Walt's reactions were too obvious when he saw the video, then the weirdness around the house.

The way the Whitman thing was introduced last season, and it fit the character and the situation so well then, and now to be used so brilliantly for the payoff this season is way cool.

I like how Skyburger is dedicating herself to ensuring their stories are straight and tries to cover every angle. I find these types of shows have characters who just aren't careful and prepared enough for possible future problems - so this is definitely refreshing.

I'm pretty sure Mike isn't going to attempt to kill Jesse. My guess is he's taking Jesse back to rehab. This way Walt is still cooking and Jesse's liabilities don't get in the way.

Well, I think in the real world Jesse is such a liability that Gus would just refuse to take Walter on. But the show does operate in a sort of alternate reality where you need to be a chemistry genius to make distributable meth...which makes the show work, admittedly, but it's one of the things that picks at your brain during slower moments.

Loved the line from Walt, can't quote it verbatim, but it went along the lines of "Where is the part of this story where you start sleeping with your boss?"

Plus...even with all that prep work abuot his personality and experiences, it still doesn't make sense that the simple card counting system would net one man millions of dollars, and he didn't get caught by security or anything.

I seriously relished that part, so awesome...

And shame on whoever said the show should ditch Jesse! I'd miss all the bitch quotes...
