Here's a trailer/featurette with the 1st footage from the show. It's a few months old. They are still shooting the series right now here in Southern California. It's supposed to air in early 2012.

I'm sold! This looks really awesome and has a spectacular cast.

I'm so stoked for this show: Hoffman and Milch, Farina working with Michael Mann (Crime Story) again, horse racing. What's not to love?

HBO announced today this will premiere in January 2012. It will take over Big Love's old timeslot.

The Pilot will air on Sunday December 11th at 10pm after the season finale of Boardwalk Empire as a special sneak preview.

Bad news though. Apparently season 1 is only 9 episodes.

Damn I have high hopes for this show. I'm only setting myself up to be let down.

^ Yeah, it most likely does. GOT is scheduled to return in April -- there may be a couple weeks of buffer in between looking at the calendar though.
