Even though I know what's coming, it's still pretty awesome to see it all play out pretty faithfully.

Totally agree. I loved that scene and I have no problem with 'over the top' nudity like that. Not sure how else you could present such a situation without it feeling cheesy. It was already borderline. Still, what I love is that it just carries on a long tradition of great monologues in HBO programming. I was taken right back to Deadwood and Al Swearengen going off on some three minute tirade with an anonymous whore's head in his lap.

I'm glad they finally showed us a Heart Tree inside a godswood. It was just like I imagined. The red sap looked pretty creepy leaking out of the eyes.

Maybe, but this show has a very weird way of dealing wih the passage of time. You can jump scenes and a month has passed, but you won't know until 5/10 minutes later.

Oh Ned, your call to duty and honor is getting you into some serious trouble! Should have taken Renly's offer in the coup de tat, or at least Little Fingers offer of role-protector and the Hand.

Ugh

Great fricking episode.

Glad I decided to hold off on watching the HBO Go preview.

I was a little surprised the wine merchant was an assassin trying to poison Khalisi. I thought when Robert was on his death bed, he gave Ned orders to hold off killing her. Or did the message not get out to everyone?

The scene with Khal Drogo's speech to fire up his fellow Dothraki was good. That was alot of Dothraki dialogue. For a fictional language, I have to give props to Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke for being able to memorize all that.

I'm all in favor of a good sex scene when it works in the context of the story, but I agree with a few others here the scene with the 2 whores and Littlefinger was so not necessary. Not shocked at all that Littlefinger would betray Ned at the end.

I can't wait until that little piece of shit Joffrey finds out that his Uncle Jaime is Daddy.

Ned tried to stop it but as Varys said, "I'm afraid those birds have flown, the girl is likely dead already"

Correct. That's on the other side of the ocean too. And that's a constant issue in the books too...information not making it in time or becoming muddled due to distance. Nice to see it happen here too.

Like Cerci said in a previous episode, Ned's brother was bred to lead, Ned was bred to follow.

In a previous episode, we hear at one of the council sessions that Mormont sent the information that Dany was pregnant.

Looks like Mormont got his pardon because of the location/info of khalessi, but seems to have a change of heart

Ahh, ok. It certainly appeared as if he knew there would be an attempt on her life.

By the way, "Khaleesi" is her title...like "Queen". Her name is Daenerys.
