Re: NBC's Fall 2011 Schedule
After reading all the comments about Awake here I checked the preview and yeah, it looks interesting. I will probably check it, but I'm not sure if they really can deliver, I mean it's one of those shows that can be a really huge hit or crash really bad (i.e. check Lost vs all the clones after that)

Re: NBC's Fall 2011 Schedule
I'll give Awake a shot because it seems to be it's own show, the problem with the Lost clones is they felt like Lost clones.

Not even Awake looks appealing to you? I think judging by the synopsis and that 4 1/2 minute preview, that is the most unique idea for Police serial drama in a long time.

Weird hearing Jason Isaacs speak with an American accent.

Yeah because she got topless in that. She won't on NBC.

Maybe not on NBC, but according to Variety, actors on THE PLAYBOY CLUB have a nudity clause in their contracts permitting nude scenes to be filmed and used for DVD, International and subsequent cable airings.

Awake definitely has a very interesting premise. BD Wong from SVU plays one of the psychiatrists. I'm curious as to how the series unfolds, whether or not it is serialized or just goes on like a procedural.
Grimm looks like a definite watch for me too. Since I like Amanda Peet I will check out Bent. Didn't like the Prime Suspect one though although that is because I've seen a couple of the original miniseries with Helen Mirren. |

Awake and Grimm sound good

Colombia Records has apparently signed to release the soundtracks to NBC's Smash and signed a solo deal with Katherine McPhee as well.
http://www.deadline.com/2011/06/colu...e/#more-138669 The show apparently won an early award as well as one of the top 8 new shows from critics. Most Exciting New Series category at the inaugural Critics’ Choice Television Awards. The category, voted by broadcast journalists who have seen the pilots and any available episodes, recognizes shows premiering after June 1, 2011. Some of the most buzzed-about new series, including NBC's Smash and Fox's New Girl and Terra Nova, made the list, while others, including CBS' Person of Interest and 2 Broke Girls and ABC's Pan Am, didn't. Here are the honorees (there will be no winner in the category, with all eight shows acknowledged at the awards show June 20): Alcatraz - Fox - Warner Bros. Apartment 23 - ABC - 20th Century Fox Awake - NBC - 20th Century Fox Falling Skies - TNT - DreamWorks New Girl - Fox - 20th Century Fox Ringer - CW - CBS Studios Smash - NBC - DreamWorks/Universal Media Terra Nova - Fox - 20th Century Fox |

It's disappointing that they cancelled the original L&O - which was having a bit of a resurgence - to make room for L&O:LA and then cancel it after one season.
