Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Paolo helps Lucrezia and Giulia escape Giovanni's estate, but the women wind up as captives of the advancing French army. At the Vatican, Pope Alexander worries whether his few remaining troops will be able to stop the invaders' march on Rome. After charming the French king, Lucrezia is able to intercede and talk Juan, leader of the overmatched papal army, into retreating. Later, Della Rovere enjoins King Charles to continue his trek to Rome and the unprotected pope.

It's a shame that it took them this long to have an episode that really starts to live up to the possibilities of what the show could be. Here's hoping for a finale that's at least as strong as this episode was and a second season that cashes in on the potential that the show has.

Yeah so far it hasn't really lived up to it's tagline or the infamous history of the Borgia-family.

The chained cannonballs were awesome though!

Even if they were CGI'd, those cannon ball-chain scenes were really gruesome.

Loved how the horse was magically spared. Oh well, the other show about the naive blonde girl in an arranged marriage more than made up for it.
